The truth is Crawford is now upset and pouting that his "job" to build to the fight has gone horribly bad. He was supposed to get the Manny PPV fight, and the WBA belt that was on his 'side' which was always the plan going into the Spence fight. While Spence was supposed to do his 'job" and get the other belt, the WBC. which was on his 'side'. Resulting in both having 2 belts, and good PPV numbers, to meet for their fight.
Well what happened? Spence was able to do his part, and Crawford was not. Not only that Spence is about to get the WBA belt Crawford was supposed to get. All this results in Spence throwing it in his face, and Crawford now pouting that he knows there is no way for him to get 50%.
That's all this is about, nothing else.
Eddie Hearn Saying the same

Notice how he's been waiting forever for the Manny fight, AND IS STILL WAITING with no issue. But now that the Spence fight bull**** is finally coming to it's conclusion after Spence fights Ugas, Crawford is over it. Why?? Because his negotiation power for Spence is at a all time low.

Slowly the push is going to start. There's nothing left after Ugas. So that's when the real talks begin, either Spence will look like a Duck or Crawford will. We will be done with this crap soon.
Both are looking like ducks at this point, especially Bud since at least Spence has good opponents to fight in his stable.

Doesn't even make sense. "we will see who is holding up that fight once I've done some other things 1st. LOL. Like do some shots?

Spence Team just did a better job for Spence and building up Spence than what Arum and ESPN has done for Crawford who been disrespected and treated like the Ugly Step Child. Spence Numbers are not even all that great but Boxing HISTORY Standards however in THIS ERA of boxing which seems to be losing fans far more than they are gaining them, he does draw and he does draw way more than Crawford does that just cannot be denied.
Crawford own promoter did Damage to his image with all the slander and telling the world how he "Lost Money On Him" and how he is "Not A Draw" and how he is "Done With Crawford" and how "I'm Ok With Him Leaving I'm Losing Money On Him Anyway"...that doesn't help at all especially when making the argument of what you deserves 50/50
Spence on the other hand is in line for a Ugas fight to try and grab a 3RD Title at Welterweight. Not only that but Spence has more Options even without Crawford. If Successful vs Ugas he can fight Thurman which is still a big fight, he can also run it back with Shawn Porter. Also can move up to 154 where once again "His Side Of The Street" is in full control over
It is just a tough spot all around for Crawford, so WTF do you do without Spence and if you don't get Pacquiao and if he doesn't fight Porter? Fight Josesito Lopez and wait for the winner of Ramirez vs Taylor I guess? Fight young Vergil Ortiz maybe? It is just not many options realistically in the current position that he is inHere is Bob Arum's exact quote pertaining to losing money on Terence Crawford's fights: “He’s got to promote like (unified lightweight champion Teofimo) Lopez does,” said Arum following Crawford’s victory. “He’s got to promote like (former featherweight champion) Shakur (Stevenson) does. Like (Floyd) Mayweather did. Like (Manny) Pacquiao did. If he doesn’t, then who the fuck needs him? He may be the greatest fighter in the world, but, hey, I ain’t going bankrupt promoting him.”
In other words, Bob is confirming what you are saying and that is Bud Crawford is a tough sell to the public because he is non-charismatic.
It's a terrible situation from top to bottom and it perfectly demonstrates everything that's wrong with the sport at this point. I hate even talking about it
The simple truth of the matter is that Crawford didn't get the Pacquiao fight, and hasn't been able to get a fight with Spence, porter, Garcia, Thurman or Urgas, because he's with Arum.
yup, he’s also fought nobodies. Outside of boxing fans who knows him, is he really a big pull? Maybe he is in America I don’t know but he’s never going to draw that big numbers im the uk (but this isn’t his market). He’s really I’m a catch 22, not sure how long his contract is with Bob but he’s the most clear example of anyone who needs to move on
Crawford knew what Top Ranks WW stable was when he signed and he knew Arum doesn’t often play nice with other promoters.
As of now he says his best win is Horn. That’s a weak resume for a top P4P guy and he’s just been treading water the last few years. If he doesn’t get a Spence fight or something equivalent he’ll be another “what if” guy when he’s done.

C'mon! Let's not be disingenuous here. You are a lot smarter than that. The Mike Tyson PPV exhibition bout against Roy Jones, Jr cost almost less than half the price of what a potential Spence vs Crawford fight on Fox Pay Per view would cost. Fox is going to charge close to $100.00 for that fight as compared to Tyson's PPV exhibition bout which was only $50.00. It's no wonder why it sold so well.
Sources state that Tyson v Jones did 1.6 million at 50 dollars. So to be a similar success at 100 dollars Bud v Spence has to do 800k PPV's. Spence last few fights been well under 300k and Crawford even less.
How many 100 Dollar PPV's do you think Fox gets for Bud v Spence?
Where as Spence numbers are through the roof? When Mike Tyson and RJJ or Some YouTube goons can dwarf Spence numbers it proves there is still a market out there and Spence isn't claiming it either.
In the grand scheme of things neither Bud or Spence are doing much at all, it's just Spence is doing a tiny bit more.
And that goes for all these current American PPV stars, none of them are stars and its likely cuz they all seem to wana side step the big fights out of self preservation. American Boxing, its a real mess.
300k PPV's in American Market is lame.

Crawford himself came out and said "60-40 to me or NO FIGHT!!" After demanding 50-50 4 year ago.
And Spence has demanded it be on Fox or Showtime as a PBC promoted event, hence "Crossing the street". So he has demanded the ball be in his own court as far as making offers. So where are they?
Spence has never wanted this fight, he made it clear when he said "why should i fight Crawford when I can take the EASY ROUTE"
Spence said that in response to Crawford saying multiple times he does not need Spence, that his legacy is set already. That he is a hall of farmer already. So Spence said 'why is he here" if he does not need him. That's all that was.
We will all see what happens after the Spence vs Ugas fight. Because I have already noticed Spence is starting to allude to the Crawford fight again. On Instagram he reposted ESPN/Stephen A Smith calling it the biggest fight days ago, and said this on twitter

Once all the belts are in hands of Spence/Crawford the truth will come out on who wants to make the fight, I think for sure Crawford wants the fight, but will he take anything less than 50%? We will see.
Good drop...
I believe that a 60/40 purse split in favor of Erroll Spence would be more than an extremely generous offer to Terence Crawford; Who barely puts enough meat in the seats, have a mainstream fan base or a huge following among casual fans. He's a tough sell. His only PPV event tanked at the box office; Which is one of the reasons why Bob is so eager to drop him from his roster because he's costing him too much money.

Yeah. Spence is the biggest roadblock.
Crawford attended his last fight and what did Mr Truth say?
"What is he doing here?"
It's so clear Bud is the last fight on his mind.
He'll exhaust all the fights available at PBC until there's nothing left.
That will take many years doe.
It's over. People need to give this up. Waste of time.

The fight is going to happen. Theirs just NO MONEY in it at this time. Nobody is walking away from a big payday.
been saying for some time now that in 2022 it will happen...people have no patience and dont actually pay attention to how fights are made and when they are made relative to the market
