Never been knocked down in his career. Never been shaken up either. At the same time, his reflexes were so on point he never got hit cleanly. We never got an opportunity to see Mayweather's chin being tested.
Chin Never Tested? Really?

Mayweather had a excellent Chin!
That Mosley shot would have KO’d most WW’s
It rates good enough. Sugar Shane caught him flush and probably buckled his knees a bit but he shook it off. I can't think of too many instances where he really had his chin tested because he made sure not to get hit too much
You mean a chin like Mannys when Marquez landed, the ref could be out to dinner and it doesnt matter there is no count.
Floyd would of went down from that
Nobody knows how good flaoid’s chin is because the ref will step in way before his opponent gets a chance to test it

Floyd had a good chin. But unless you get it hit often it's hard to say.
What I will say he had a good poker face. But can you claim Floyd's chin is even half as good as lamottas? lamotatook 5 times as many punches and never went down
I think Corley ,Maidana ,Mosley probably hurt him the worst. But not much chance of catching him twice.Good chin ,we never saw how good, but that's the point .
8-9/10 chin. He can get buzzed and stunned and hurt but never knocked down. Mayweather has a good chin because he really never has to test it. 10/10 for me as a Margarito type chin where you can take big shots over and over. It took how many bombs from Mosley to finally crack him.
The way I look at it is if he had the same chin and was struck with the punch Mosley hit him, but didn’t have the best defences then I could see him stopped with a follow up combination (or severely hurt). He had a good chin to cop a solid shot, but it was really his recuperation/composure and defence that kept him on his feet.
But to say it was granite is a massive stretch considering these shots rocked him and they were single shots rather than combos or follow up.
He had a good chin to cop a big hay maker and stay composed and avoid the follow up
He had a good chin but his defense and ring IQ was out of this world, so the few flush big shots he got hit with he was able to mitigate. The average fighter, top level, gets his with bombs multiple times in virtually every competitive fight. Floyd just didn't experience that.
Most of the guys you would say have a granite chin were way bigger than their opponents and/or 1 weight class guys. For a guy that went through 5 divisions his chin is great.
A lot of it came down to him rarely getting hit flush, which is better than having it tested often. Can’t classify his chin as granite though.
Money May's chin was excellent because he was fundamentally sound defensively. He had exceptional reflexes and was able to see every punch coming that was thrown in his direction; Especially to the head. In addition, he always kept his chin tucked in too.

He had to hold on for dear life after Mosley caught him.
It was good...I wouldn’t go as far as calling it “granite” though. Guys with a granite chin don’t get rocked or wobbled at all, especially not by guys like demarcus Corley.
