This isn't saying if Foreman was born in 1995 and assuming his body or training changed and his defense magically became like Mayweather, but as he was.
Foreman has an aura but in reality he was a crude boxer much like Wilder. He had a good straight 1-2 just like Wilder but often swung wild clumsy hooks, and ended up overpowered people with size. However, his size isn't anything special nowadays 6'3" 225. Wilder hits harder and has more length. Foreman also had horrible cardio, whereas Wilder is a cardio machine.
Some people claim Foreman had a good chin, but that was mostly against relatively-midget HWs from 50 years ago. Watch Lyle drop him twice, including face planting him once and you don't think Wilder takes him out? Wilder leaves him twitching IMO.
Are you high?
That "much smaller" Frazier had just beat the "much bigger" Muhammad Ali & was undefeated when they fought.
He beat plenty of top contenders in the '60s & '70s.
George Chuvalo
He mauled Hall of Famer Ken Norton
The super tough Ron Lyle
Knocked out Hall of Famer Dwight Muhammad Qawi
Smokin' Bert Cooper
Gerry Cooney
Put up a great fight at 42 years old against Evander Holyfield
And really got robbed in his last fight against Shannon Briggs.
He held the lineal title for 3 years from 45-48 years old, G.
Don't disrespect George Foreman, G.
Big George is an ATG for sure but not top 5 all time.
Beating up an over the hill, much smaller Frazier and lucky punching Moorer makes you top 5 all time?

Everyone else is not wrong about Foreman. You are the one who is wrong about Foreman. He needs no magical improvement to beat a mediocre champion like Wilder. He knocks Wilder out in my opinion. Foreman was just as good as most say he was and that is damn good, Kook what he did to Frazier. You are all hung up and size but being a great heavyweight is about skills not sheer size. Today's average heavyweight is bigger but not better. Foreman was pounds when he won the title and hit hard enough to KO any heavyweight past or present.217 pounds is 9 pounds more than Wilder weighed in the first Fury fight and he had lots of punching power and he is the guy you have beating tiny little Foreman in your fantasy.
Foreman would destroy Wilder inside of 2 rounds. Wilder could not even deal with Fury coming forwards at him and his powder puff shots, so he has no chance with Foreman who at his best was an absolute wrecking ball.
To be fair though i doubt any of the current champions would see round 6 with a prime Foreman, none of them have the chin to deal with his sheer aggression and brutal power.

Foreman was actually already 230 pounds at age 19(all muscles too, heavier than Lewis-Wlad-Vitali-Bowe at 19) but was told to lose the weight because they wanted a lighter version as was typical for 70s boxers. Foreman never really benefited from being that light.
With his natural large frame if you think a young Foreman with all the modern sports training would only weigh in at 225 lbs today is silly.
He'd probably be in the 235-245 range trim at 6'3.5".
Lol that C Level fat slob would beat the **** out of the walking mummy George Foreman. Gtfoh with your nostalgia.
Yikes. Dont expect much company with that perspective
Interesting fight.
Wilders pluses - great power, good jab when he uses it, good overall speed
Wilder minuses - very little boxing skills, questionable stamina, average chin at best, average defense at best
Foreman pluses - great power, great resilience, great chin
Foreman minuses - really slow hand and foot speed, average defense at best,
Who wins? I dunno.............
Not a good boxer?
The dude won the gold medal at the fxcking Olympics.
You don't win that without skills.
Just say that you don't understand Foreman's style and be done with it
Foreman's a top 5 heavyweight DEAD OR ALIVE
Don't disrespect that man by comparing him to Deontay Wilder, who is one of my favorites, but he aint in the same building as George Foreman, G. Believe that.
And since when does height make you a puncher?
Until the last Wilder fight Tyson Fury could punch his way out of a paper bag and you're saying he's more of a puncher than Joe Frazier and Ken Norton?
You think people's chins have gotten more durable in the last 40 years?
Sonny Liston would break your damned ribs today just like he did then. Ribs aren't tougher today.
If anything men have less testosterone (naturally) today, so a lot of those "old midgets" were more man than these pretty motherfxckers walking around today.

We've seen what happened to Wilder when someone finally made it a physical fight on the inside. That was one of Foreman's strongest games, he would wreck havoc on Wilder in the clinch. Much stronger, skilled and tougher. Prime Foreman was a mean SOB.
Is this a joke?
A C level fat slob had "Mr I want to take a body" fire his trainer, claim he was drugged, complain about his walk-in outfit, and cry the gloves were tampered.
And you think someone that weak - who was dominated by little old Luis Ortiz (in rounds w/ no KD) - would even last 12 rounds with Top 5 HW ever??
Hows that ldbc epnis taste, boy
