Disappointed in Pacquiao if true, major shades of Spence vs Mikey, except this might be worse. I can understand him having a big money clown fight mismatch as plan A, but not plan B as well, not when there's good and actually legit fights to be made at welterweight that people A) actually want to see and B) would most likely still do good money in their own right. Garcia's a great talent with star potential and a hell of a promising career in front of him, but him actually winning isn't a realistic proposition. He didn't get past Luke Campbell smelling of roses - Pac will be too big, too sharp, too experienced and most likely too heavy handed for him to hang with, unless old age kicks in suddenly and he develops some kind of rapid-onset arthritis mid-fight. I guess there is the silver lining that at least Garcia's an actual boxer, so it's better than him fighting McGregor at least. Also I don't like Garcia all that much, I suppose I could derive a little schadenfreude by watching his fangirls cry when he gets stopped. Damn though, I hate this sport sometimes. Spence v Crawford can't get made, the prospect of having an undisputed HW champion is still on the fence, but crap like this gets made no problem.

No shît, the problem is this isn’t a winnable fight. Which is why it fishy as hell. You think ryan garcia stands a chance against a manny pacquiao that is coming to win? Only way i see a path to victory is manny doesn’t push the KO, it goes 12 and ryan gets the decision. I don’t care either way. This fight would be strictly about money for both.

Disagree. I think Manny is fairly well known with the boxing die hards. Of course Manny is, Ryan isn't all that proven or respected by boxing fans or casuals.

Calling it now... if this goes to the judges scorecards, Ryan wins by split decision robbery. Even if it goes to 12 rounds, somehow, there’s no way PAC isn’t mauling this kid throughout all 12 and dropping him a couple times. It would be incredibly difficult for the judges to vote Ryan a W after he gets thrashed up and down the boxing ring.

I could of swore i saw 800k. Thurman was doing a good job promoting too and he's not that unknown. He did good numbers on tv and he's exciting as well. Yeah crawford doesn't do good at all. But spencer does decent but i dont ever see him passing 400k. Yeah i guess it's still a good number. Yeah i do haha but not much. I'm actually curious about canelo's ppv numbers against smith. They haven't even mentioned let alone released them Spence nor Crawford have no star power. Thurman is a bit more marketable than either but even he still doesn’t possess much star power. He’s just known to be a good boxer so against PAC they did good numbers. Canelo is currently the only true superstar in boxing today other than say the heavyweights and Pacquiao, his PPV sales are not to be compared.

Is that really what pac-thurman did? Thats disappointing. I thought it was 800k Lmao 800K? Those are numbers he used to pull in his PRIME! In order to do that again he needs a popular dancing partner. 500K is a solid number in this day & age and that’s more than what Crawford and spence have done in one of their events combined. For PAC at 42 years old to still be pulling in PPV’s over 500K while the rest of the boxing league is struggling to get past 200K is awesome, he’s still holding star power. You don’t know much about boxing PPV sales do you??
