Why don't boxers fight in tax havens like the UAE or Saudi Arabia.
I know there's a card there like 1-2 a year why wouldn't it be more popular saves money for everyone.
They would be taking home a much larger purse. Since no tax. Most fighters are taxed around 40% depending on the state (USA). I dont know about Europe. But it would be close to that of the US.
Lets say a fighter has 1 million USD purse in the US. After paying everything. He takes home around 450,000 USD. In other 45% of the purse.
Now lets compare that to Saudi Arabia, UAE or Monaco. Where there is no income tax. The fighter would be walking home with around 65-70% of the purse or easier said 650,000-700,000 USD.
In Saudi Arabia, Apostasy is considered a capital offence punishable by death. As is blasphemy.
Sounds like a real ****hole
just be respectful and you wont have that problem. as people say 'as long as you're not causing FITNA, you'll be left alone'.
the reality is that wahabism was a reaction to ottomon rule...
the contexts are now outdated..and the young (the majority of saudis) dont really care about it.
there are plenty of ways to die in the US. saudi doesnt have a drugs or crime problem like america, it's safer.
the lists inc that factor..because there are thousands of british/american expats living there without any problems.
lol @ flogged for your religious beliefs
what the hell have you been watching?

Imagine calling the UAE a ****hole country. I am pretty sure most of the people living in your ****hole country would have no problem moving to the UAE. As it is a less of a "****hole" than your country.
And you can come to my ****hole country and call it a ****hole all you want.
What would happen if I went to that ****hole and called it a ****hole?

There are many laws in regards to making income and where you make it.
You pay taxes to the country you live in, not the one you fight in. They would have to live in one of those ****holes.

except for human rights
so its a great view to enjoy, while you're being flogged for your religious beliefs.

far from the ****holes you wanted to label them as.
the UAE is the 9th best place to live in the world, ahead of the US btw.

So what's the point then? Human rights >> Nice scenery

believe me, Saudi and the UAE are a lot nicer than the uk or most parts of the US EXCEPT for when it comes to human rights.
My indian (muslim) friend moved to Jeddah from Bolton. The guy is living on hell of a nice life there...he doesnt speak arabic, only english. He earns twice what he would earn here and he barely has qualifications. The guy is a drinker, likes to smoke a lot of pot too...not religious at all. I thought when he went he would stop all that but instead he tells me it's worse there than in the west. Real decadent place. The only difference is they do it all behind closed doors. like prohibition era US.
my sister lives in al khaima. it's cold and depressing in the uk right now, whilst she's sunning it up and earning decent money (she's an english teacher).
You're right though, we have to pay tax in the country we live in.
So what's the point then? Human rights >> Nice scenery
you dont understand taxes. you must be one of those 47 percenters the great mitt romney warned us about. the true way to avoid taxes is to renounce your citizenship and go fight on an uninhabited island. thats what smart people would do!
If someone is resident in the US or the UK they pay tax on all their earnings. They don't pay less tax because they fight out of the country!
Thanks for point this out, because it seems a lot of people aren’t that clued up in regards to this. Just because they fight in those places doesn’t mean they wouldn’t be paying their taxes on their earnings as normal.

You still have pay taxes unless you work over 6 months knew Other Veterans who would work over seas in the Middle East they would tell me about not paying taxes but if you came home prior to the 6 months you would have to pay Federal and State taxes
