I'll be the first to say it.
For a supposedly "legendary" amateur/trainer, dude failed to teach Wilder how to box after all those years.
Had no advice for Wilder in both Fury fights while Wilder was getting his ass kicked.
Couldn't even give Wilder a motivational speech in the corner like Virgil or Atlas.
Dude seems like one of those quiet snake/uncle tom types. Glad Wilder fired his slimey ass.

Guy is no good.
What's with all this Wilder is stupid talk. I've seen interviews with him and he is not dumb. He may be stubborn and delusional but not stupid. That's not the same thing.
Coaches aren’t miracle workers. You have to have a fighter who is trainable and listens to instructions. I suspect Wilder is not easy to coach. He probably has some limitations due to his size, and maybe even some cognitive learning challenges.
All these Wilder fans who are now showing negativity to Breland like fkking sheep never had anything negative to say about him when Wilder was clearly getting out boxed fight by fight but winning.
Wilder didn't turn shyte over night he just cherry picked the wrong guy. If he had sacked off Deas and kept Breland these fans would of hated on him.
Breland tried to teach Wilder, Wilder just couldn't learn cuz he isn't technically good enough.
Fury exposed Wilder TBH. All you had to do was not wilt when get hit and not be afraid, stay a right distance, and BAM, Wilder is nothing. I always knew Wilder wasn't really anything much, and Fury merely proved it. Good win for Fury.
I'm a Wilder fan but lets just face the fact that he's not a bright guy. He got by on unique genetics. But he's just dumb, he couldn't grow into some kind of technical boxer no matter how much you wanted him to. It's no one's fault that his brain is as functional as it is. It is what it is.
This is the EXCUSE ERA! Fans and Fighters are Making Excuses more than Ever Now we see it on this forum after every fight as well as idiots on youtube.
Wilder is FULL of Excuses and his Hardcore fanboys are even worse! If he lose to Fury again if he does get that 3rd Match then guess what? It will only be More Excuses and BS Allegations!
At What Point do fighters take responsibility instead of always looking around to blame someone else. Trainers get too much blame when a fighter lose an too much credit when a fighter wins so they're in a No Win Situation Regardless.
Honestly, based on all these Rants that Wilder goes on with guys on youtube...I don't think that man listens to ANYBODY and No Trainer will be able to Fix that! It will take a Tough Trainer who will be 100% honest and will come in a tell Jay Deas that he don't know sh^t about Boxing and tell Wilder to STFU and stop making excuses and lets work to get better because your Technique and Fundamentals are HORRIBLE! Guess What? Wilder won't HIRE a guy like that, he won't Hire a Guy that will tell him "You Need To Do Road Work Champ" and that "Boxing Skills Are Not Needed In The Heavyweight Divisions". His Mentality is just all WRONG and he needs someone in his Camp that will tell him that he is WRONG!
You can't teach someone who doesn't want to listen. Breland said Wilder would often just do his own thing. Probably because he was so in love with his power.
You think a soft spoken guy like Breland is going to give some fake 'look at me' Teddy Atlas speech? Come on...

You can't teach an old dog new tricks...and you can't teach a stupid dog a fùcking thing.
Listen to Wilder speak for more than 45 seconds, and this isn't meant as an insult, just an observation, he's quite blatantly stupid.
Wilder can fire and hire whoever he wants. He can go back in time and get Manny Steward on the payroll...he wouldn't improve. He simply doesn't have the IQ (I'd be genuinely surprised and made up for the guy if it's higher than 70). This version of Wilder is the best version of Wilder there can be.
"Uncle Tom" lol. Yeah he conspired with Bob Arum, the white supremacist Jew to keep the black man down. Hahaha f_ck you are dumb and ignorant.
The only people who should be mad at Breland are Wilder haters that wanted to see him beaten into a coma, because that is where the fight was headed.
Stfu. He had zero advice in the corner for Wilder.
It looked like those two had some kind of chemistry. Mark took him far enough with the limited skills that Wilder has.
I never thought too much of him as a trainer. If Wilder wasn't listening to him then he should had changed his trainer.
I'll be the first to say it.

You are WAY off base when talking about Mark. The man is one of the best people I know in this game, great person, does his job. A snake????? Nah, man, NO. Stop this. You are way, way off base.
breland is a piece of sh%t
you just made it sound like breland is a scumbag piece of sh%t tbh LMAO
Well he did kind of put Wilder on blast for saying stuff like that but it almost seemed like he was just frustrated and about to give up on him, which is a pretty bad look for a trainer but I don't know what the hell went on in those camps. Maybe Breland was too critical and Deontay preferred to work almost exclusively with yes man, Barney Gumble looking Jay Deas. I'd always see him holding the pads for Wilder doing a horrible Fury impression while Deontay worked on his spinorama moves.
I'm not sure how they came together exactly, but on paper it probably seemed like a good fit. An ex fighter trainer, who was an Olympian that had a moderately successful though unremarkable pro career. Their body dimensions seem almost identical too if you enlarged Breland. Not that it's important to be anything like your trainer, but I imagine he at least taught him a thing or two about how he could take advantage of his reach. They are very similar though polar opposite at the same time in personality and the fact that Breland was a more successful amateur, where Wilder had a more successful though questionable at times pro career.
I don't know why I typed that all up since you obviously don't give a ****, but I've been up all night watching this election unfold so might as well over analyze and speculate about something else for a chance of pace.
He was never known for having improved Wilder. Prior to this fight, after this fight, when has anyone, even his fans, claimed Wilder can box? Whose job is it?
Two chances to prep Wilder for Fury, Wilder won none, and was never prepared.
What advice did he give D before throwing that towel? Quietest ****ing corner I ever seen a losing champion sit in.
So, y'all got some moral reason to keep Mark? TF goof is it? He going to beat Fury with his loyalty is he?
My post was explaining why people care, I agree no one would've cared if he dropped Breland before the fight. Refer to my first post as to why people care.
