Teo at 23 years old just beat a two time Olympic gold medalist and 3 division champion. Vasyl is 32, still 4 years younger than Floyd was when he schooled Canelo.
Just give these guys the credit they are due win or lose.
Canelo had over 40 fights and was a champion when Floyd fought him. The green excuse is hilarious especially when no one brings it up when SRL beat Hearns...Who was 22 years old at that time. Floyd's best performance against Chico? He was 23 years old.
Exactly! Benitez was 23 when he beat Duran, De La Hoya was 23 when he beat Chavez, Norris was 23 when he beat Sugar Ray Leonard.
The "whole 23 years old is too young" thing is just an excuse
What MexiCANS can't call you a racist but you can call others one?
Are you a black?
That guy started with the race card NOT me. I just gave him the same energy be gave me.
Come on buddy, keep up. It's not that hard

You just called a guy a white supremacist for supporting Canelo???
LMFAO you one dumb FUK! He's MEXICAN you fkn TROLL!
No, I called that guy a white supremacist for calling me "BLM scum" or maybe you didn't read that part. Work on your reading comprehension smart guy.
Age and being green are 2 differnt things and
And...... Lomachenko is like a generic brand of Floyd Mayweather so its not even comparable.
Canelo had more experience as a pro fighter than Lopez. In
It's not that Canelo is only too young, he's very inexperienced and yet to be in his peak at the time... And this is Floyd Mayweather we're talking about, not Vasiliy Lomachenko... Some catchweight haters will also use that excuse...
Like why so desperate to make this about Floyd? He was great but had his flaws and could be critiqued. Tonight was about Lopez and to a lesser extent Loma. Floyd isn't relevant here and your insistence on bringing him up is odd.
I was making a point. Don't switch it around because you lost the argument. Move on
Canelo's team offered the catchweight so Floyd took it. So what if it's was 2 and half years earlier? Canelo wouldn't have offered to come down if he didn't feel he could make the weight. And let's not Forget that Floyd was fighting in his FIFTH weight class while Loma was only fighting in his 3rd.
Again, the weight excuse for Canelo does not work. He was fighting an old fighter who was moving up and still couldn't win.

Bro that Hatton fight was 8 fights previous and 2.5 years before the Floyd fight. Even if it was at 150 you can't cite that as evidence that Canelo wasn't drained. Draining a guy 2 pounds, why else do it unless you think it will help? I mean come on man. We gotta factor that in when assessing that win.
Lopez and Canelo have different styles as well. And Lopez had a much better gameplan. I'm not even making a Loma-Floyd comparison as Loma has not had as much success moving up in weight as Floyd (or Manny). But those 2 fights are not an apples to apples comparison imo

Floyd vs Conor is a terrible comparison. Canelo was 23 years old just like Lopez but only Canelo had far more professional experience than Lopez. The Canelo comparison applies.
And the weight is just another excuse because Canelo earned his 154 pound title at a catchweight of 150 pounds against Matthew Hatton. So if Canelo wasn't drained at 150 you can't tell me he was drained at 152.

The best comparison for this fight and one of Floyd's honestly is his fight with Conor. No weight drain, a prime opponent. First few rounds you are very cautious with what you're dealing with. Difference is it only took Floyd 3-4 rounds to find something, it took Loma 6-7. And Floyd then KOed Conor and Loma couldn't. Floyd was 40 in his fight though and McGregor isn't even a real boxer, those have to be mentioned too.
Canelo fought a sh.it gameplan vs Floyd as was drained a bit. Those details matter

Alvarez is on the shallow end of great. His fights are often close and controversial
Floyd is on another level. He capable of beating other great fighters easily
That's why he avoiding Andrade.
Also s/o to Teddy Atlas cause he's the only one I seen with a platform not re-writing history. He like I been saying said: ppl only said that AFTER he lost. Nobody said he was "too young" before the fight, at least not loud enough to the point where it was this regurgitated narrative it is now.
Lomachenko is a great fighter but he is no Mayweather Jr.
Another thing is that even though Mayweather Jr. and Canelo were similar heights the same way Lomachenko and Lopez are similar heights. The frame difference between Lopez and Lomachenko was a lot more than Mayweather Jr. and Canelo (23). Mayweather had enough size to keep Canelo honest with his jab.
Sidenote as well. Not dissing Teofimo in no way. I have always thought he was biggest threat to Lomachenko, I just don't see the comparison to the Mayweather-Canelo fight
