Okay, so then flip it.
Had Floyd seen anything near like Loma at 130? NOT EVEN CLOSE!
His best win there was Corrales for fxcks sake. He literally only beat a bunch of plodding Mexican fighters at that weight! The he moved up and arguably lost to Castillo at 135
El OH EL. Rough night
Imo what gave Loma problems tonight hand and foot speed and counters plays right into the strength of PBF. His hand and foot speed (look at his fight vs Chico for example) are most definitely up to par if not exceeding Teofimo's and add to that Floyd's countering ability and longer length he would have given Loma the biz.
Safe to say the answer is Floyd
Any version of Loma, any version of Floyd.
Floyd was never my favorite fighter, but these threads are hilarious. Floyd could win any fight against any figher in history 130 to 154. Top 10 ATG at worst.
There’s about 80 of these threads the last 2 years. And then people wonder why we call Loma overrated. He was never at that level. I think he gets smoked by Morales and Berrara too.
I disagree tbh man, at the highest level it tends to make less of a difference. As elite fighters rely far more on skill than their physical tools.
I tend to think it’s at the lower levels that height and reach has the biggest impact as those fighters don’t necessarily have the ability adjust to physical disadvantages.
If Floyd was to beat Loma it wouldn’t be because he was taller and had longer arms it would be because of timing, punch placement, angles, footwork etc. Sure height and reach is an advantage but in a fight between two elite fighters I don’t think it’s a significant difference maker.
I got you, and to be clear, I don't think that those physical advantages alone would win the fight. My point is that when you're at the highest levels where both guys can employ timing, punch placement, footwork, ect, I think the bigger guy COULD have an advantage will all things being relatively equal. That's not a guarantee of course but it could possibly factor in.
I certainly don't think that size alone or lack thereof would decide the fight.
The key word is “usually”. You are correct that Loma usually makes height and reach a moot point but we are talking about a fight at the highest level. Both are supreme talents but one has a significant height and reach advantage. Those details matter for me.

Corals doesn't have the ring IQ of Lomachenko he was a slugger
I mentioned that fight in response to someone saying that Floyd was still green in 2001. I was pointing out that he was already elite by that time.
I dunno man, the height and reach thing is usually a moot point with Loma. He’s always disadvantaged that way but he utilises his smaller stature to create acute angles.
I don’t think pretty boy Floyd would approach this like a chess match either. Floyd was far more aggressive at 130. I think he’d box on the front foot for considerable stretches and would put it on Loma, looking to land combinations instead of single shot counters.
I’d be so interested to see who’s footwork would be more effective in this one, both guys move/moved flawlessly. I could see that being a pivotal factor.

- -Watch the fight, not fanboy highlights.
Couldnt keep Tyny Jesus off him.
I've watched just about every fight and rarely impressed. He got favored officiating and venue the whole of his career and too often MIA.
I've seen the fight. Mayweather didn't run in that fight. You just made that up.
Another lie. Where's the running?

Floyd won his first world title in 1998 and the Corrales fight was in 2001. He was far from green

Mayweather has more KO's at 130-35 then Lomachenko's total number of fights. So you're lying there.
Floyd's first 15 opponents had a combined loss total of 94!
One of those guys was literally 1-13-1 for fcks sake! He didn't even fight for a title until his 18th fight.
Loma's first 15 have a combined losses of 39 and 12 of those are Solido, which was his 2nd pro contest in a title fight!
Can you not see the difference?
I didn't take you seriously before I even responded to you from other discussions that we've had but that's besides the point.
The point is that you called him a wanna be skilled boxer when he's probably the 2nd best amateur of all time and only lost as a pro to Loma.
You're extremely deluded for making that comment in the first place and everyone knows it. You're a Canelo fanboy and naturally it helps your fighters case by crediting Floyd because he easily took your boy to school.
Never called him that. So now you're just lying. I said he was no Mayweather which he clearly isn't. But you're the same person that claimed Pacquiao beat better fighters than Sugar Ray Leonard did. That speaks for itself about your boxing opinions :lol1:
I've never been a "Canelo fanboy". I've been one of his biggest critics. So you obviously don't know anything about me.
Stopped taking you seriously when you mentioned his amateur career. That has nothing to do with what he's done as a professional. Sorry.
The other questions are too ridiculous and unrelated for me to even respond to.
