A 40yr old Mariusz Wach and a 41yr old Povetkin? Hardly a murderous row.
I remember Wladimir destroying both at their peak and getting exactly zero credit, they were apparently bums then now all of a sudden they're killers 5-6 yrs removed from their best?
povekin is prob wlad's best win so not sure what you mean by no credit. i think he might not get credit because he literally clinched 270 times or something crazy. cant remember the exact amount that compuclinch recorded for htat fight but it was so laughable. should have been dq'd by the third round but hey its boxing so whats new
Yep, and his stamina late in fights makes his chin look even worse.
Overall, I don't think he is chinny or anything, just gets caught with some big shots.Exactly! You are absolutely correct. I said that Whyte had to get Povetkin out of there early because the longer the fight goes the greater are Povetkin's chances of winning the fight by either stoppage or knockout and he did. Povetkin is chinny too but he still can punch and that's what the late Manny Steward was attempting to instill in Lennox Lewis against Mike Tyson.
When he was emphasizing not to play with him and get this motherfucker out of here before you end up getting caught with some crazy shit. He knew that even though Tyson was shot and a shell of his former self but yet he was still dangerous because he could punch
That's what happened to Dillian Whyte. You can't carry an old experienced cagey veteran as Povetkin once you get them hurt and on the hook; You have to put them away because it's too dangerous. They could always come back to KO you because the last to go on an aging fighter is his power.

I hate to say, but maybe it has to do something with fighting tough guys back to back.

If Whyte's chin was constructed of Bethlehem Steel, the shot he got hit with would have still put him to sleep. Povetkin was positioned perfectly to bring his full body weight into the punch. Slow the KO down and you'll see what I mean.
it's heavyweight dude. whyte has a fine chin. he's a good fighter. layoffs and no more drugs and this is what you get if and only if you get hit with a huge shot! he looked good and was using his jab and a lot of variety until he was out cold.
His defense might be the problem. Joshua pretty much bludgeoned him and finished with an uppercut.
This punch was like a magic spell. It didn't seem that hard (imo) but it was perfect and put Whyte to sleep immediately.
His chin isn't solid at all but it's Heavyweights, his problem is his openness to getting hit rather than his punch resistance

Are people kidding or do they just know nothing about boxing?
The two knockouts he's suffered have been nothing to do with him having a weak chin.
He got banged by two huge uppercuts.
Happens.
Yeah but at the same time, it's heavyweight boxing. Any of them land, not too many heavyweights can just stand there and eat it clean without flinching. Heavyweights sometimes just comes down to whoever lands first the most flush shot.
