So let me preface my comments with this. I've only seen the Bellew fight, and his first fight at HW. I hear people saying that he's had one of the best Cruiserweight runs ever, and that he'll be a problem at HW. I saw him struggle with Bellew, despite the biased commentary imo..
Therefore, guys like Fury, Joshua, I don't see him faring well against them...
Don't take this as hate, I just wanna be recommended a fight or maybe something I'm missing that can help me see it...
Lol bs...
If that was the case why is it when Ruiz was given the AJ fight, the pbc Al haymon cult was saying he's just a fat bum? Whilst Eddie and AJ were both pointing out that he's a lot better than ppl think and likewise Eddie was pointing to the Joseph Parker fight?
You don't see 'us' hating on the pbc welterweights or the middleweights.
It's only the Al haymon cult with their little reptilian race hate and xenophobia who bring boxing down and hate on everyone else whilst overhyping their own.
Didn't read that BS you wrote.
I imagine if he was with PBC these inbred cave beasts would be calling him overrated.

:lol1: Kinda come with the territory though doesn't it?
I mean, look at all the **** talking about Floyd and Mike alone.
Like I said, any fighter can be dissed and dismissed by playing that good old "emphasis the negatives and ignore the positives" game.
Who has he beaten?
Cruiserweight is the worst division in boxing.
The CW division that Usyk cleaned out was arguably the best, most competitive and exciting in the whole of boxing.
You’re ignoring the fact that he struggled with someone who isn’t very good and called me stupid for noticing it.
:lol1: You just looking for a squabble fella? I called your triangle theory stupid, not you. I ain't really paid enough attention to your posts to give much of an opinion on you.
And my point was that struggling with Mikaelian doesn't automatically mean that Breidis isnt any good. Noel ran Wlod close and besides as I already said either or both fights could have been off nights or poor stylistic match ups. Like I already said making hard work of a dude does not mean you ain't a good fighter and you know full well there's countless examples of this phenomenon in action.
Anyways, whatever, if you don't rate Usyk, you don't. That's your right, man, but all I'm seeing here is someone trying to rationalise a personal preference. Point me at any fighter you like and I could devise some way of diminishing their accomplishments if I was so inclined... But I ain't.
Gotta wonder what it takes to impress you though? :lol1:

Cruiserweight is the worst division in boxing.
Disagree. Last year Cruiswerweight was a hidden gem. Lots of talent with Usyk, Gassiev, Briedis, Dorticos, Hunter. Was a great division that just didn't get eyes on it. Similar to 115
From what I seen of him, he was pretty elusive and fast at cruiser, but his last fight at heavyweight he looked slower and didnt seem that great. IDK why if he put on weight because he could just come in the same at heavy and not be dehydrated and be like 215lbs.
In the Hunter fight they showed that Usyk hydrated to something like 201 so maybe he actually was a natural cruiser.
I think it’s stupid that you excuse everything and ignore evidence that someone might be overrated.
Overated by whom? How have I overated him? Perhaps you can point to some of my comments?
A guy becomes undisputed and beats virtually every worthwhile name in his division then he's clearly very good by the standard of his peers which is the only objective yardstick we have. What else can he do?
If someone claims he's some kinda unbeatable transcendent superbeing then I'd say yes, they're overating him, but arguing that he's the most accomplished Cruiserweight in history is hardly going out on a huge limb, it's gonna be either Usyk or Holy anyway. Ain't such a long list of candidates.
Dudes have close fights, man, even the best find some guys who give 'em problems. You want I give you a list of top fighters who struggled with guys no one expected?
Furthermore seems that Mairis might have been going through some issues with his trainer and camp discipline around the time of the Gevor fight. If I recall right his (possibly former) trainer basically said - to paraphrase - that he'd become a bit of an asshat and that fame had gone to his head and he wasn't taking training seriously.
I think it’s stupid that you excuse everything and ignore evidence that someone might be overrated.
It's stupid that you ignore all of Usyk's outstanding accomplishments and focus instead on meaningless triangle theory while trying to give the impression that he was in the verge of defeat against Bellew before landing a lucky punch in the nick of time ....

Be all and end all usyk is a good cruiserweight in a very mediocre division at the time ,since haye left and even during his tkme its been trash what with marko huck and whoever else dominating ,they were all journeymen ,there was nobody special
Anyways when usyk took everyone out they were all unbeaten paper champions ,however unbeaten they were they were also unproven, the most experienced fighter he fought was in fact tony bellew and we all know hes a good fighter but not the most prestegious career what with being hot and cold in his preformances
Bellew looked sensational against makabu though and he fought similar in the usyk fight so i do give usyk his best scalp in beating bellew that night but hes no roy jones like people make out
The extra weight at heavyweight looked to me like it took all his strengths away from him and its a matter of time before he gets blown away if he sticks at heavyweight
Lets not get it twisted hes the heavyweight paulie malagnaggi with his power in heavyweight, his stamina is out the window and it wont be suprising when he eventually gets hurt
I think he's going to do well at HW, but the Corana virus came at the worst possible time for him after he'd already lost momentum with an injury. At 33, and with VADA testing, he hasn't got the time or the roids to grow into the division like Holyfield did, and there's no Valuev level cherry pick champ to target like Haye.
Usyk is going to have to roll the dice, go for broke and see what happens. But that's what he's been doing his whole career, really, which is one reason why I like him.
Yeah, I can't tell if that guy is joking or trolling or what. Since he makes seventeen threads a day, it's probably Lester/Mirko. Turkey either has nothing to do or it has plenty to do and Lester's not part of any of it. Haha.
No, Lester/Mirko is too busy sucking Canelo's dick, plugging DAZN and posting LDBC videos as Uncle Al..varez to have time for anything else nowadays.

He’s overrated.
He basically fought to a draw with a guy who should have lost by a huge margin to Noel Gevor.
Before a late KO, he was behind on every scorecard against a guy who got destroyed by a light heavyweight and was only brought up to heavyweight to be a victim for an aging star.
But he beat a bunch of losers in an awful division so everyone thinks he’s great.
You're talking about the Bellew fight there? The 8th isn't a "late round" and Usyk actually won the 6th and 7th. Even as an Usyk fan, I was surprised he was able to break Bellew down and clean KO him as early as that.
You know, you can discredit literally any boxer who ever pulled on the gloves with the game you're playing there. Eg ... Floyd Mayweather's biggest wins were a late round stoppage over a weight drained MMA fighter having his first ever boxing match, and a disputed points decision over a blown up Asian midget who had been KO'd multiple times by flyweights.
When was this fight?
Are you sure it was Usyk?
He's saying Usyk had his hands full with Breidis who struggled with Khoren's adoptive lad.
Stupidist kinda triangle crap.
He’s overrated.
