Wilder is American and I have picked him to win. He has many white fans from America who support him. Yet he seems to repeat the refrain about race and being a black champion, which is okay I guess, but I almost get the impression that he does not care about his white American support, as he often seems to make out the white man as the enemy.
Thoughts?
people still use words black and white in the USA outside of culture? jeez grow past it. I worked out this was all a facade to sell shyte when i was a kid.
Racism is very strong in America especially among the black community.
They teach racist ideology in schools and colleges.
Wilder's racist views are just a product of his environment.
I don't think celebrating your heritage is separatism. If you're Italian American than that's what you are and that's fine. It's a problem when you use your heritage as justification to bash others outside your community.
The British market is a lot smaller than the US, America has lot more going on. Casual British boxing fans overlap with football, they bring that same mentality towards supporting their own, that shows up in the PPV numbers imo. I mean how many fans turned up for Wilder last time compared to Fury, the foreigner.
There's definitely a racial hierarchy in place that lends itself to institutional, economic and self-segregation. The UK isn't that much different
More inbreeding leads to a more common ancestral heritage :lol1:
LOL. I know it's not, it's got its fair share of racists. it's a hell of alot better than america though. Even the whites in America separate themselves, polaks, Irish Americans, Italian Americans and so on.
Maybe that's why even though you got 250 million homes to tap in to to sell your ppv, s they do less numbers than the British ppv fighters.
To me Crawford and plant are American. To Americans Crawford is black and plant is white. They like to segregate themselves.

Britain is hardly the bastion of racial harmony. Get off your high horse

I'm British so find it weird all this black and white and Mexican segregation stuff. There's racism everywhere but Americans seem to want to be all racist against each other. Strange place.

He should win this weekend.
I think Fury is pulling the wool over people's eyes.
Look at his comeback
Wallin - had life and death with a top 100 heavyweight who dropped rounds to Adrian Granat
Schwartz - a boxfit class level guy
Pianeta - looked lackluster and out of ideas Vs a top 80 plodder
Sefari - a complete bum
Someone mentioned the other day, Fury hasn't beaten a top 40 opponent in his comeback, it's been rank 50-100 guys and wilder as opponents.
I think Fury is done, was crafty enough to last 12 against Wilders horrible technique in the first fight, but his luck should run out here.
The Fury who fought Wallin would lose to chisora.
Must be embarrassing for Wilder that he had to get a gift draw with Fury then?
But really, if you’re looking at Fury and form, then you must be new to boxing. His performances before the Wlad fight were inconsistent and then he beat Wlad.
Fury raises his game when he has to and this weekend will be no different.
If you watch thaboxingvoice and don't see what's wrong with it and the fans it attracts then you're blind. Just read the comments when they're live.
I’ve listened to the podcast. I’ve never watched the show live. And even then it depends on what the topic is. Going by the callers that they have they have all kinds of listeners. Black, white, and Latino. PBC supporters DAZN supporters. American, English, and even a couple Aussie’s call in on the regular. They get Wilder on the show, but they’ve also had Chris Mannix, Keith Idec, Shelley Finkle (a couple times), and even Bob Arum (I think). I can’t speak to the comments because like I said I’ve never watched the show.
Wilders wife is Filipino thumbs up
And he’s not racist he just like blacks,Filipinos and Mexicans more but he’s no racist his trainer is a white man.
... Telli Swift only is his fiancé... and not wife...
Well sorry about that, but it’s something you have to learn to accept. Deep down inside all black ppl feel this way and it doesn’t necessarily mean they hate White ppl.
Not all black people. Only those who feel disenfranchised and seek to blame someone else for their problems. It is understandable to some degree but feeling a victim is never a way out of a situation, it is only a way to justify a situation and not looking for reasons closer to yourself that you can act on.
There is an underclass is every society. The ones that do something about it, despite the challenges and obstacles, are the ones who are successful in some way or other.

Race is a big thing man...brings a lot of people together imho moreso than it being a negative...Wilder is black and identifies strongly with that...a lot of his supporters identify with that part of him as well and will be rooting him on.
I'm white and American and tbh I have no real rooting interest in the fight...just looking forward to seeing it and seeing who the better man is on the night...I think someone is getting KOed, probably Fury but wouldn't be surprised if he gets Wilder...I can't see it going 12 rounds...so of course that will probably happen lol.
The guy is friends with the LDBC gang and regular gives thaboxingvoice exclusive interviews. He's doing it because he believes that's his fanbase or he's just a racist POS.
What’s wrong with the boxing voice?
