He did not look talented at all last fight. H just stood in one place and threw wild haymakers at a lousy fighter. He showed no foot work, combinations or any kind of skill. He won the fight and got the KO win because his opponent couldn't fight and not because of anything special he did. I think Canelo, Jermall, GGG and Dervy all beat Andrade if he ever fights them. All 4 of them would have KOed that guy much quicker than Andrade did in my opinion. Andrade has an ugly style that is awful to watch and for that reason he has very few fans and does not bring in much money.
like most guys he fought down to the level of his opposition, i doubt he goes hayemaker happy vs the top middleweights, might as well go for the ko vs club fighters or fringe guys
ko quicker doesnt mean youre a better fighter a win is a win
It's such a sad thing to see really but he's partly to blame too, made bad decisions early in his career and has always been a hard ass in negotiations and stuff, lately rhough he's just been getting the bad end of the stick for no reason. Hopefully they can make something big happen this year.
he is definitely part of the blame, why is he picking who he is picking to promote him? tragic
As other mentioned, I don't really think he is SUPER talented...he is good though, and very awkward, which helps him a lot.
A good analogy for him would be Tyson Fury imho...I think Tyson's skills get a bit overrated...I think he is just a big tall awkward guy who knows how to box...same for Andrade really, plus he is a lefty.
That being said, I really have no idea how he will do at the top level...not sure if his awkwardness and occasional power will be enough to keep the best fighters at bay for 12 rounds...and I am not sold on Boo boo's chin and 'dog' at this point...I don't like the way he takes seemingly light shots.
Him getting KOed by Canelo or Charlo or GGG early would not surprise me...nor would him being too awkward for those guys and winning an ugly but fairly clear decision over any of them.
Can blame himself and his father Paul Andrade for that :dunno:
Still confuse by the walking away from the Jermell Charlo fight because you "THOUGHT" Roc Nation was going to sign you :nonono:
Now looking at how Roc Nation failed in boxing, it would've been yet another bad move even if they did sign him
Too melodramatic nonsense.
He's not the most talented. He's got an awkward style as if he's in a street fight. He loves giving it but hates taking it, that's why you won't see him trade punches. As soon as he gets hit he clinches or do something to disrupt the flow of the fight.
he just needs a name and he will do the rest
Never seen nothing like it, in my lifetime. A lot of people will change their tunes once he beats one "name" then they'll continue to move the goal post. They won't give him the credit until he beats Canelo, then the rumblings of Canelo's overrated resume/career will become louder once that's done. "Well we seen what happened vs Lara", "No wonder he took so long to fight him", "Most people thought he loss to GGG twice." All these things will become louder & those who been following but didn’t know, will realize boxing has a lot to do with how you're moved!
Most talented and goes life and death vs a total bum in Jack Culcay? Cant get rid of another bum in Alantes Fox? No he aint special at all. He goes 12 with bums that any talented top tier fighter would get rid of in a couple rounds.
GGG and even Canelo would stomp guys like Culcay in 3 rounds.
