He is Emmanuel Steward's nephew and flies the Kronk colors.
Wladimir Klitschko trained under Emmanuel but when he passed away Klitschko turned to Jonathon Banks to continue the legacy, not SugarHill.
Just how good of a trainer is he? How much of Emmanuel's knowledge is he able to carry on?
Fury and Andy Lee are related. Their grandmothers are sisters or cousins, i can’t remember which. That’s how Fury originally ended up at Kronk and living with Steward for a month, when Andy Lee lived with him too.
Also, Andy Lee joined this camp. Fury called Andy Lee first to discuss new trainers, and they decided on Sugar Hill.
BJS and Andy Lee are friendly. Although they fought, there was never any trash talk or anything. The whole build up to the fight was respectful. Saunders was just his mandatory.
Tyson Fury and Andy Lee are cousins!...
Yeah, when did Fury add Andy Lee to his camp? Since when is Lee a trainer? I always thought Fury hung with BJS

Apparently Fury went to Sugar Hill with a specific need in mind, to fix the holes in his offence. Looks like it worked.
Fury rightly surmised that he had to take a different, more aggressive approach to Wilder after the first fight. He couldn’t leave it in the hands of the judges again. Tyson likes to be a “slick, boxer-type” (his words), who tends to outpoint his rivals. It got him a draw where he should’ve won in the first fight, and almost got him KOed. In the rematch, Fury “sat down on his punches” (his words again) and caused the kind of damage a man his size is capable of.
The fighter is more important than the trainer, 99% more important.
I think Tyson will look good with any trainer when hes fighting top fighters . I agree with the poster above that the trainer isnt going to make a massive difference especially in one fight.
Well, yeah, you can’t polish a turd, but a good trainer makes a definite difference in how well prepared a fighter is. This is especially important versus top opposition, where any edge can make an impact. Many great fighters have been associated with their trainers: Duran/Arcel; Frazier/Futch; Ali/Dundee; Leonard/Dundee; Pacquiao/Roach. It’s no coincidence.
Based on a sample size of 1 it does look like it worked.
Between SugarHill and Andy Lee they were able to add some Kronk magic to Fury's game.

Ditto Andy Lee. Lee was closer to Steward than anyone. When Manny died, Lee didn’t go to Sugar. Same with Tony Harrison.
But Andy Lee appears to have been the one who steered Fury to SugarHill. So that does make you wonder.

Another thing to note, just because he hung around Kronk or is related to Manny doesn’t mean he can train like him. Wilder’s trainer is Mark Breland who WAS a Kronk fighter and trained my Manny Steward and we all know that’s done **** all for Wilder’s skills
Totally agree, I might not be as confident as I am now in a Fury victory 😂

Great observation here, why didn’t Wlad turn to hill? He would have been cheaper to work with, he should have been working under the great manny and possibly using his methods too.
So Wladimir probably know more than we know, I know Banks is also one of Manny’s students but this Wladimir thing is actually key.

He moved the Kronk gym, has a bunch of guys using Kronk colors and claiming Kronk but none of them fight like Kronk fighters, they don’t look like Kronk fighters.
I remember Fury had been in some of those camps with Wlad and Steward,. I'm sure him and Hill crossed paths at some point and maybe something developed at that time.
As far as Wlad choosing Banks - just think they became close due to personality traits...maybe Wlad picked who he felt comfortable with (ie. not someone who was going to slap him and chew him out like Steward). Banks is soft spoken for a trainer so maybe at that stage that is what Wlad preferred. Banks, Bashir, and Hill were the corner with Wlad when Steward was still alive, but sick. Worked with Stevenson, Lee, I THINK also Vernon Paris.
Fury has to get some snap into his punches, maybe sit down some more and get more leverage - could be a good hookup if Hill really carrying Kronk with him....Fury made Wilder miss, but he didn't always make him pay.
