Why do people crap so much on Crawford resume? are they stupid?

A lot of the hate comes from him not being with PBC... it's crazy. That is fake and false. You know the majority of posters hating on his resume are not pro PBC. His resume has been denigrated mostly by fans of Canelo and Loma once he was ranked above them on the p4p list.

With such a bad resume supposedly, even spence dismissed buds achievements, he is considered no1 pf p by many, so he's doing ok.

His resume is not bad and you can only beat those who are available and willing to step in the ring with you. You can't beat spence when spence is not available for a fight. Jesus, some guys love to defend Hopkins record of defenses but shit on Golovkin's. Hopkins had multiple rematches of completely unnecessary fights. I can only imagine how much shit GGG would get if he rematched someone he already beat. I realize this thread is old but it's still funny to read old posts.

GGG fought a world class fighter in his last fight and fought a world class fighter in 5 of his last 7 fights. Yes but when no world class fighter wanted to fight GGG, haters said GGG wasn't good because he fought no world class fighters. It was an unfair argument. You can't use that against Crawford either.

Crawford's resume is solid. Some of the guys he beat are good B level fighters but none of them are elite competition. Look at Canelo's resume: Austin Trout, Mayweather, Lara, Cotto, GGG x2, Jacobs, Kovalev. Who is Crawford's best win? Gamboa? Crawford needs an A level opponent like Porter or Garcia to actually be considered P4P #1.

Nope, you can't count WBA regular title defenses when there is also a WBA super champion in the same weight class. By definition being regular champ means you aren't the WBA top dog. Especially considering that Golovkin only picked up an interim title THEN was upgraded to "regular" champion. He wasn't the real WBA champion until Daniel Geale beat Felix Sturm then was stripped for not fighting Golovkin right away. I'm just pointing out that a lot of established people/pundits/organizations were giving GGG credit for that many defenses...you can make a case either way for it really...not that big of a deal but it was a nice run he had, by any measure.

Then why is he ducking Porter after crying about being ducked by pbc(Porter is pbcs 2nd or 3rd best ww),hes willing to overpay bums like Con but unwilling to pay near the same amount to someone who isn't a complete bum like Garcia or Porter & he obviously knows he has struggled vs bums so imagine what Porter or Garcia would do, especially Porter He's not ducking anyone. He just fought two weeks ago, he's under no obligation to sign a fight right away. Why don't you say Spence or Pacquiao are ducking Crawford instead? Id suggest having a good look at who it is that is crapping on Crawford or his resume or achievements and you will find that its the same names that fanboy for Crawfords main rival. PBC Spence. Personally i dont find it difficult to be a fan of both Spence and Crawford but those guys are so PBC that they cant be a fan of both, to like Spence is to Hate Crawford. Its their rules. Because people have gigantic biases and if they don't like a fighter, they crap all over any record that doesn't have multiple HOFers. Crawford needs to get in the ring with the best welterweights, it's past time, but his record is more than enough to place him among the best fighters in the world.

For some reason I think they did count those...and in reality they probably should have, as GGG was the clear number 1 at MW at that time, and was more or less fighting the best available guy at MW during his run...certainly would have to say his run of defenses was quite a bit better than BHop's. And that is kind of the point...GGG had a number of defenses at MW vs good/very good fighters even before his fights with Canelo, and never really showed any issues in any of those...that's rare for any fighter and not sure how that isn't more or less universally appreciated...usually guys have hiccups in those fights or at least show some real vulnerability (think even Crawford vs his last opponent...GGG has like 10 bodies like that on his resume with just about 0 issues). If people want to get on GGG because some overhype(d) him, well to each his own...I don't really get the big backlash on Crawford at all...not that I really understand it on GGG either...but Crawford doesn't really have fans like GGG does, who are that vocal...the backlash against TC just seems really silly to me...dude was great at 2 weights and now is up at 147 and looks good. Should be appreciating him (and GGG) and not so much over the top hate...my 2 cents anyway. It's not that his resume is bad per se, it's just that after seeing him dominate decent competition for so long we want to see him fight top competition. It's not a question of whether or not he's a good fighter, it's a question of how good is he? He's in the right weight class to show us now but he has to face the top guys in the division, not just in-house Top Rank fights against people whose names nobody can pronounce.

I can't speak on how deep the friendship between Porter and Crawford is but Shawn himself doesn't sound gung ho about the fight and I've heard Fernando Vargas talk about how hard it was to fight his friend Shibata Flores. People are human at the end of the day. It sounds to me like both guys want all the belts and bags of money on the table. How realistic that is, I'm not sure. Imho, Crawford's resume as it stands is about as good as it can be given the circumstances.
