GGG is looking to get his IBF defense out of the way to get bigger fights (I don't know why... GGG does not have that many fights left for him). It is most likely going to be against Kamil Szeremeta 21-0 5 KOs. Weak resume.
Just when you think this guy can’t get worse that Rolls he comes out with this BS opponent smh
Wtf is this crap yet watch the hypocrite here defend this ****tt and continue to bash canelo for facing guys like Kova, Jacobs etc
Man I just don't really understand how you/others feel like you're the impartial ones here:
Canelo last 7
GGG
GGG
Kov
Jacobs
Fielding
JCC
Liam Smith
GGG last 7
Canelo
Canelo
Jacobs
Derevy
Brook
Vanes
Rolls
Looks like GGG has 5 top level fights out 7 and Canelo 4.
Canelo's worst 3 fights are better quality than GGG's worst 2 but at least GGG fought his guys straight up with no weight restrictions/clauses.
His opponent's rankings
TBRB: #8
Ring: #7
BoxRec: #12
IBF: #3
WBC: #4
IBO: #8
WBO: unranked
WBA: unranked
Seems like a perfectly legit mando to me.
Agreed...don't think this is that terrible of a fight...there are better opponents we would like to see in there with GGG, but all in all it isn't that terrible of a situation
wasting 5 months to end up fighting this guy. Not many left in the tank, I guess he has to get it out the way but what a sh## fight.

It's really not that bad of a fight. Much better than Rolls or Martirosyan.
That's a terrible fight. Man's 38, he has ~4-5 fights left in him total. He just had a really tough one against Sergey and they want an easy fight, but it's a mistake IMO.
I assume he doesn't want to take a lot of damage because he's been through several wars last few years. If that's the case.. fight a highly skilled boxer who's not known for power. Andrade or Saunders come to mind.

He’s now under contract for 6 fights, might as start with a crappy mando
Sad times to be a GGG fan. He's old. I mean, I still thought he lost to Derevyanchenko. And I want him to fight 2 great fighters (win or lose) and retire.
Still at 36/37 old he was able to beat twice (or 1 win 1 draw) against a prime roided canelo.
Great post---exactly how i feel about G :guilty::ugh:
I just think a move to 168 would breathe a little more life into him. I don't like the way he looks at 160 anymore. People can say what they want about Rolls as an opponent, but I think Golovkin looked physically much better in that fight. His punches were a lot heavier and snappier than has been for the past 2 or 3 years. I wouldn't mind an SD rematch either but 160 might be a detriment to his remaining career.
I pretty much agree with ya...I have thought a move up to 168 would be good for him for a while...especially after experimenting at 164, dropping those last 4 pounds for Sergei (at GGG's age) was probably not a great move...playing with weight too much is just not a good decision I think.
I think the risk/reward at 168 is more in his favor as well...hopefully GGG has a bit left in the tank and can go out on a relatively high note.
I wouldn't mind SD rematch...he earned it imo...Jacobs just came to that fight to go 12 rounds from my view, and he did the same thing vs Canelo when he got his 2nd chance...was impressed with Jacobs to go 12 vs GGG and he fought well vs Canelo at times too, but I just never really saw where he was getting to 7 rounds, certainly not in the GGG fight.

Trout didn't ask for a rematch to a open scoring fight where he knew the judges score the entire fight and quit the final 3rd of the fight after being dropped. No fans were asking for a rematch especially not Lara who only him and his immediate family were asking to see that terrible fight again after he stunk up the joint. The only fight fans were demanding he give a rematch to he already gave a rematch his next fight. GGG has had fans saying he lost and demanding a rematch against Dervy and Jacobs yet he thinks he is entitled to endless rematches with Canelo where he will do nothing but make excuses when he loses like fight me Mexican Style then GGG runs from the Mexican Style fight he begged for in the rematch. His entire career is now trying to back his way into canelo paydays while refusing fights in the meantime.
I'm pretty sure GGG makes the same per fight with DAZN...so the fact that he wants to face a prime Canelo for a 3rd time for no added benefit (other than legacy/grudge match), I mean that's something to respect, not denigrate...he isn't backing into any paydays there...Canelo did help him get paid a lot though, this is true...but he already has those paydays now and still wants a 3rd fight.
Is Golovkin the only one obligated to give people rematches for close fights? I didn't see these same people give Canelo **** for not rematching Trout or Lara. I don't see people asking Jacobs to rematch Sulecki or Derev, or Derev rematching Culcay, as those were all close fights as well. I agree, I think Golovkin should give Jacobs or Derev a rematch if he's not fighting a top guy, but it's funny to see some give him **** for doing exactly as others are doing.

My boy GGG is done, he's just here to get that money. It's Loma's time now.

This trash isn't about DAZN They wanted GGG to fight Andrade not Rolls Andrade confirmed this. And DAZN wasn't around when GGG fought Vanes and the rest of the bums in his career. IBF didn't order this fight and neither did DAZN. GGG has total control of his career and wants easy fights to try and back his way into canelo fights. He did with Vanes, tried to do it last year with Rolls and is back again ducking Dervy rematch and all the rest of the Hearn/DAZN fighters who are available right now to fight instead praying he can back his way into a 3rd Canelo fight
Again DAZN is paying GGG way more than he is worth...if you think DAZN isn't dictating who GGG fights, I don't know what to tell ya...it is plausible that DAZN gives GGG some options and GGG can pick one out of two or 3 names for a some of the fights he's had.
But if DAZN wanted him to fight Andrade...GGG would have fought Andrade...they are paying GGG 2 to 3 times what he is worth so he is going to do what they say...but I can't see how DAZN would want him to fight Andrade since GGG very may well could look bad in that fight and lose...thus spoiling the Canelo-GGG fight, for a fight which would get DAZN limited subs, and probably wouldn't help raise Andrade's profile near enough to make Canelo-Andrade as profitable as GGG-Canelo 3.
And again GGG's last 7 fights are Canelo, Canelo, Jacobs, SD, Brook, and then Rolls and Vanes...if you want to call that a run of bums so be it...but you don't come off as very objective.
Brook was welterweight moving up 2 weights. He had to fight Sergi because it was his easiest path to a belt (turned down title shots from Andrade and Charlo so fought Sergi for a vacant belt),. Rolls and Vanes are disgraceful mismatches. Let's call this for what it is. He looked horrible and most feel he lost to Sergi and he wants another Steve Rolls, Vanes bum easy opponent to trick his fans into thinking he's still a killer. He's a hypocrite begging for a 3rd fight, second rematch with Canelo when he refuses to give Sergi or Jacobs even 1 rematch despite fans thinking he lost both those fights Now fighting a bum who doesn't even have a punchers chance a guy with only 5 career KO'S who nobody has in their top rankings at 160. His only definitive non controversial wins in that stretch are Brook, Vanes and Rolls.
I'm not going to really get into my opinions about who won all those fights for GGG, and how definitive it was etc...I do think the Sergei fight was his toughest fight but when I scored it I think the first two rounds ended up swinging a close fight to GGG....Jacobs wasn't that close to me, nor were the two Canelo fights (on a round by round basis anyway).
But the point was that GGG's last 7 fights overall, 5 have been really good or great opponents...it isn't really relevant what happened in those fights, or why you think GGG took them etc...also the Brook fight wasn't exactly the toughest matchup ever, but it was his 5th toughest fight in that 7 fight stretch, which is really solid.
You're going overboard here and going off on these tangents, and getting really emotional and kind of exposing yourself a bit.

Huh...he only fought Vanes because Canelo pissed dirty...and Canelo's team didn't even want GGG to fight at all on that date, instead wanting him to wait until September to fight Canelo when Nelo's suspension was up.
