If AJ tries to move and box off the back foot against a faster and more agile Fury, he will get caught in transitions and pivots and be forced to fight and come back on the cards from being out pointed on the cards. Fury is clever enough to catch him moving backwards and meet him where he sets in laterally and cut off the ring on him.
That would be an interesting fight.
Joshua does not have the greatest of head movements or agility, neither is he a knockout star like Mike Tyson or Foreman. At best, he is a poor man's Klitschko and we know Fury won against the real one. If Fury kept the real one at bay, AJ would struggle coming close enough and trading. Fury will jab him to keep a distance and his movement will save him for the times AJ is in range. A Mike Tyson charging in and KOing Fury quickly is a greater possibility than Joshua outboxing or trading with Fury.
Current or previous versions of AJ meet the same fate as Wladimir Klitschko.
Fury couldn't stop that pillow punching brit he fought awhile back that I forgot the name of. How is he gonna knock out Joshua?
AJ wont be able to stop him from coming forward, and Fury will hit him with punches he will never see coming.
If Fury is a chess grandmaster in boxing, how does he keep getting hit with these million to one punches? Wilder put him down twice. Wallin hit him flush and tore his face open. The evidence does not suggest that Joshua would not be able to hit him.
As for what does Joshua do better than Fury? Hits harder. Is a superior athlete. Has more discipline. Gets cleaner results in drug tests.
Fury definitely has better head movement than Joshua, but the Wallin fight makes me think Joshua would have a decent chance with him.
Fury will want 60% to get battered. Don’t you realize pressure is his open flaws? AJ would tee off on him worse then any southpaw he’s faced.
Hilarious take brother.
What does AJ do better than Fury? Fury is faster than him, better reflexes, head movement is no comparison. Defensively, Fury eclipses AJ. AJ is there to be hit by club level fighters. You don't think a tactician like Fury would tattoo his face with leather? Fury also has far higher ring IQ, he is a chess grandmaster in boxing. And he has a bigger toolbox offensively. Fury can fight AJ southpaw the whole fight. He can fight inside, outside, mid range, low level, fight tall, off the back foot, off the front foot....
AJ similar to Wilder needs to land the one in a million punch that puts him clean out, to beat Fury. He would never out point him. To quote the classic Aliens film: "it's the only way to be sure"
AJ is not going to fight fury or wilder. He stated himself that after he beats ruiz, he wants soft touches. He isn't going to take the risk. He is a mentally fragile person.

Agreed. Jab n’ grab only works against a shorter fatter guy like Ruiz.
Joshua fought this way because he had a reach advantage and was afraid of Ruiz's power. He wouldn't have that advantage against Fury, and Fury has no real power - or at least he fights in a style that deemphasizes whatever power he might have. Fury's weakness, aside from the fact that he isn't going to hurt you, is that he will go down if you hit him on the button (even if he'll get up afterwards). I doubt this fight would ever happen, but Joshua would probably fight in his usual midrange power style.
If anything, Wilder has the most self doubt.
I am not saying he is the best, just stating? he has the most momentum, his performances are emphatic. Joshua's and Fury's performances are never really emphatic of late 'Wilder may drop rounds, but eventually he gets to all of his opponents' he even got to Tyson Fury.
I don’t get this, why would Joshua employ the same strategy against Fury. He’ll actually want to trade with Fury and press the action up close.
Fury would counter him coming in and set traps once he learns his patterns of attacking and combinations, Fury would win the inside fight.
