Both great pfp fighters. I like Crawford more because I enjoy his particular style a little more than Canelo's but both are really solid in their own ways.
That said even Crawford would say Canelo is far too big for him which is nothing to be ashamed of. If this was back in 2012 and Crawford was at his current size yeah maybe but now no way.
Except that the fight was delayed due to a suspicious 'hand injury' from Crawford. Which delayed the fight and threw off training camp for Horn. We don't know if that affected him. Second, Horn was still throwing back at the time of that stoppage. I call it a bad stoppage. In the books, but a bad stoppage.
Zerafa? THAT is a quality win over Jeff Horn. THAT is what I expected Crawford to do and he didn't deliver.
................................
Incidentally Horn's coach is copping heaps for mismanaging Horn's career (middleweight WTF?) and lacking skills coaching ability.
Spence at one point readily admitted that Thurman was above him - which is why he wanted to fight him.
Great fighters acknowledge when someone's above them as their reason to keep going up the ladder.
Unlike Crawford who claims to be the best but fights the Kavaliauskas's of the world and collects $3 million guarantee, while others dare to great.
Everybody is not cut from the same cloth...if Spence said that then that’s his twist...but why would a fighter at the top of his game and in the conversation for P4P best believe that another fighter is better than him?!?...Why put in all that work just to believe that someone else is better?!?... That’s not how the GREAT ones tick!
Canelo would flatten Crawford
this lowly pretender with his overrated resumen should stop speaking about the Great One
he needed a low blow to put Khan out of there
Yeah he is better than Canelo technically, much better. Canelo was getting easily outboxed by a washed up Kovalev before the KO. Crawford dominates his opponents.
And no why should he call out Canelo who is signi8bigger than him, that's stupid
Resume. Who did you beat? That's all that matters when measuring what someone's capable of. Not how many journeymen you TKO. That's what got Naseem Hamed in trouble.
We can say Crawford is a good fighter. But there's no way he can be considered "better" than a guy who's resume in the last 8 years ALONE destroys Crawford's entire career. There's just no way.
Ha ha, wondered if you'd pick up on that. Once you get away from those sorts of statistics it does of course get into opinion territory.
My opinion is based on Crawford's demolition of Horn, particularly the way he did it. Horn if anything exposed the ***** in Pacman's armour yet C in his clinical merciless way exposed Horn when there was plenty of opinion that it could be a close fight. To emphasise, it was the way that C did the job that stamped him for me as a truly awesome tactician with sufficient punching power to beat anyone.
Canelo has credible names on his list of opponents, Crawford has Jeep Horn and Khan...
Is that it? A list of opponents is just one indicator of a boxer's ability so it's certainly not definitive.
How old was Wlad to AJ? How many loses did Wlad have by KO?
More importantly, we all know industry P4P lists prefer gramps!
Wlad wasn't an alcoholic and hadn't lost by KO in over a decade.
It's pretty obvious that Crawford thinks that stylistically he's better than Canello, no need for fan boys to assume that Crawdaddy thinks he could beat Cantello, it's not there. Both are bloody good, if they were of similar natural weight then a fight could go either way, I'd give the edge to Crawford but?
