Canelo has been on the fortunate side of decisions numerous times throughout his career(according to many). In the eyes of his detractors he should have loses to GGG, Jacobs, Lara, Trout, etc...
Canelo has also taken on very strong names, proving time and time again that although he may be the highest paid name in the sport, he's more so hungry for glory than fame. He wants to go down in the books and is constantly challenging himself to go further and push his limits.
GGG ruled 160 for a very long time. He carved out his own lane and at one point in his career seemed like an unstoppable force. He gained the love and attention from many boxing experts and proved time and time again his world class level(seemingly) by easily disposing of lesser names. His resume is riddled with touch up and tune up type fighters but over the past few years he has definetly stepped it up.
However, the higher in class GGG has climbed, the more pedestrian he has looked. Aside from his iron chin, nothing is standing out as much as it once did. He has now been on the gift receiving side 2 times and has lost the interest of his main rival since losing to him.
Put GGG in front of a Vanes, Monroe, Rolls or Johny from the local bar and he will look like the phenom everyone once thought he was... but place him in there against a more fine tuned name and he will continue to show his flaws.
Neither GGG nor Canelo have any clear wins in their resumes. Such shame.
Sorry , but you can't use GGG's career to discredit CANELO's.
CANELO came up the hard way , he's an old school throw back fighter. Fought all the best & has great wins.
Shoot look at his next fight for example, he's the smallest middleweight & is jumping up 2 division's to face the most recognized & established champ who has the best resume at 175.
Hater's gonna hate though. People are running out of excuses, there is nothing left but to give the guy top Pound for Pound credit.
lmfao that avatar.

i stopped watching the ggg fight after 3 rounds not impressed with DV but it looks like he came back to win the fight..amazing turnaround from rounds 1-3.
Only haters and ******s claim that ginger lost to Jacobs, Cotto and Trout.
his only close, controversial matches were against GGG and Lara, and Canelo deserved at least a draw in the 2nd GGG fight
