Erroll Spence is still a good fighter and I am still of fan of his but I do believe that he was overhyped and overrated to some degree; As the bogeyman of the division that everyone avoided.
For example, Erroll Spence soundly defeated Kell Brook while breaking his eye socket and winning his IBF title belt off of him in the process, while Brook handily defeating Shawn Porter for that same title.
Only creates a huge question mark whether Spence fought the same version of Brook that Porter fought
Tried to hype his asss up as a God. The next elite floyd level fighter. Could you imagine floyd struggling that bad with porter?? Floyd woulda struggled maybe the beginning 5 rounds then flipped that bi.tch into cruise control
Lol. floyd struggle with a class C maidana.
No this played out like the Brook fight
Competing for the first 2/3 then Spence took over
When Top Fighters Fight Other Top Fighters they aren’t going to be blowouts, They’re usually competitive fights unless their in a weak division
Look at
Thurman / Porter
Thurman / PAC
Garcia / Porter
All close competitive fights
Exposed for having a competitive/close fight in a unification fight against a two time world champ? The only guys to have beaten Porter were Brook and Thurman in competitive fights, who were also both top welterweights.
I have no idea what will satisfy boxing fans these days.
All it showed was Spence is probably around a similar level to the other top welterweights and not some guy that’s going to dominate the division with ease, which is what any sensible person already knew.
If anything, i think it cemented Spence’s place in the top 2 of the division. His best win before that was Brook, who dropped two weight classes and come off a GGG beating, so there was question marks over that. Now Spence has shown he can beat a top Welterweight champion that was in peak condition. Well i say he beat Porter, i could’ve had it scored either way but no problem with the dicision.
fighters always say that.
all right then, i guess spence has been exposed for being too overconfident.
Many fighters don't, they say things they trained for 12 rounds, if the knockout happens it happens.
Spence said it will happen and he will be disappointed in himself if it does.
It was Spence himself said it was going to be easy and said he was going to knock Porter out.

No, Spence is a very good fighter i think pretty much everybody other than his own fanboys and PBC shills see him as number 2 or 3 in the division. On top of that he was facing Porter, its close to impossible to look good against Porter and he fought well last night. It was a good fight and it was a hard fight as it was always going to be.
To me Errol's stock has risen, hes unified some titles. Before the fight i thought Bud beats him and Pacquiao had a good chance too, Porter would run him close and a couple of contenders would too. After this fight i feel exactly the same. Porter ran him close and i think Ugas and Danny G could run him close too. Still think Bud beats him and Pacquiao possibly could too.
garcia and then thurman and his hype will come back
he is elite though, this wasnt like that night both charlos got exposed
Well Crawford will fully expose the Fraud, so that will never happen.
Maybe they will wait till Crawford is 35/36 and fight at 154lb.
You never cease to amaze me with your boorishness. Errol best Shawn at his own game, landed the majority of clean effective punches DROPPED HIM and came out with a close but clear victory. I had Spence 9-3 or 8-4. For someone reason people give Shawn rounds just for fighting in a phone booth.
Take the low blows away and Porter landed more.
Porter also won more of the early rounds, Spence only came on strong in the championship rounds because all those low blows took it toll as well as the constant wrestling and pushing Porter's head down.
And Yet Spence called Porter dirty:lol1:

Spence won a tough fight against one of the top 4 ww in the world. Only a complete idiot would see that as getting exposed.
Now if he blew porter out, the TS and others would find a way to lower the win.
Porter would’ve given any ww a tough fight tonight. Errol fought tough and got a knockdown late Proving he is a worthy champion.
T
Crawford is not that difficult to hit he is no Mayweather and you don’t know if he can take punches from heavy handed welterweight Crawford doesn’t have Porter chin he been rocked before
Mayweather cannot hit like Crawford.
And Spence is not a knockout artist.
Ah, BoxingScene. The place where you can go from unbeatable to exposed in the span of 36 minutes.
Spence was never going to have an easy time with Porter despite what dummies on here thought. Nom fighter does.
It was Spence himself said it was going to be easy and said he was going to knock Porter out.
Why does PBC refuse to acknowledge "Bud" Crawford?
Haymon wants boxing to be like MMA and his Dana White where his fighters will only fight each other and nobody else exists.
He must the the belts off as well, because his fighters don't get stripped for not fighting mandatories.
PBC know that Crawford can take all the belts away and de-legitimized their model. So they pretend he doesn't exist.

Ali held Frazier's head down too many times in the first two fights which Frazier camp complained. A new ref dealt with Ali's pushing in the third fight. And it gave us one of the greatest fight of boxing history. The infamous Thrilla in Manila.
I want a rematch of Spence vs Porter.
Garcias already lost.
Mostly in the 2nd fight,
But some fighters get away with illegal tactics throughout their career.
When Spence was firing into to Porter's balls and Porter complains about it, the ref accuses Spence of pulling his head down.
