I told you so... :boxing:
Cotto was small faded and had been beaten bad by Pac, FM and Margarito.
Trout was undefeated because he never faced good comp. Once he stepped up he lost. He"s 5-5-1 since Alvarez.
Smith was the classic "paper champ", good UK fighter, fighting mediocre comp.
Alvarez lost every round to Floyd, so how does that add to his resume?
A win is a win, so I'm not saying it's a bad resume. It's a good resume for one of the top fighters but there's some good match making there and a large portion of hype. IMO
The way I see it besides Lara, Jacobs and Golovkin, Alvarez's resume looks pretty regular.
What other wins besides those three stand out for you?
Cotto,Trout(undeafeated southpaw),May(even at 36)Smith plus the 3 you named. That's a pretty good resume. That's 5 top 15 PFP fighters(May,GGG,Cotto,Lara,Jacobs) not too many active fighters can say that. Plus some good to decent contenders like Smith,Trout,Angulo,Kirkland and even Rhodes. Not much credit for Khan, too small.
DLH would have won a Razzie for that portrayal of a hurt fighter :)
Was an ok fight
... of course it was an OK fight!... (I never like to "quote" fixed fights)... :)
That body shot ko is questionable, if you ask me :)
I wasn't convinced
...look again: it was an accumulation of body shots from B-Hop...
(I think that that was the best B-Hop performance...)
... but wasn't the main idea for why I posted this... I only wanted to underline that even the cash cow drains you and you are old af... it doesn't actually mean that you're toasted... (but this was about B-Hop, tbh)... :)
... I remember that B-Hop was like 39 years of age when ODLH drained him at 156!... :)
... B-Hop KOd a 31 yo ODLH and captured the WBA, IBF and WBO middleweight straps... :)
(OK, I know, B-Hop held a totally different "genetics" as compared to Kova...)
Smooth Operator B-Hop vs ODLH... :)
He knows he's done so he's cashing out with a money fight. sad to see because he is already a shadow of his former self and will come in as a zombie due to the weight. Not giving Canelo any props here.

Kovalev open to Canelo catchweight

what a dummy.....
hes gonna gas out by the 5th round if he does that.
No of course not(although its not 20 mil, no way)but Canelo if he wants any credit should fight him at 75. Me personally would rather see him fight the best in his division GGG then an older fighter who is CLEALY no longer in his prime. Maybe that's why he is waiting on GGG. Its hard to crap on Canelo's matchmaking he has fought some tough fights, some he did not have to(Lara for ex)but it don't make it right to wait on fighting the guy most people think he has yet to beat, esp when that fighter is 37.

Should Kovalev decline more than 20 million paycheck?

If its a catchweight this fight is a joke. Older fighters don't do well going down in weight and with KOV discipline and stamina its a disaster waiting to happen. This is a cash out fight, Kov and Main Events know he cant beat the other champs anymore. Cant really blame Kov for taking it, but if Canelo wants to get any REAL credit he should fight him at 75. Kov is already past it and did not look good vs Yarde who is not even top 10 at this point and doubt he ever will be.
Should Kovalev decline more than 20 million paycheck?
I'm not saying that he should stay away from Canelo, I'm saying that he shouldn't take a catchweight if it's not necessary to make the fight. This guy's talking about taking a catchweight when neither Canelo nor his team even mentioned putting one in a contract for him.
Really? At this point, Kovalev should know that his stamina is sus, so the last thing he should want, is to drain himself to make weight, especially in his highest profile match ever. That Canelo money got these motherfuckers losing their minds out here. This shit is sad.
Should Kovalev decline more than 20 million paycheck?
Why would they concede this before an offer is even presented? He should have kept his mouth shut. You can bet your ass that GBP will be pursuing this now. Let's hope Canelo tells them he wants the fight at 175.They made an offer before he fought Yarde so maybe a catchweight was part of it. We will know the truth soon. If Canelo doesn't want a catchweight there won't be one.
