... Luis Pabon is a real professional ref... he waited and waited in order to assess what it's really happening...
... with about 30 seconds remaining in the 8th round Yarde was totally exhausted and wasn't able to finish Kova... who even managed to fight back in that round... :)
He would of needed balls of steel to stop the fight at that stage in Russia lol.
Nah I agree, great reffing hardly noticed him at all and made the right decisions when needed.
... Pabon seemed like he knew how cheap life really is in Russia... :) ...

At least from getting KD? or am I exaggerating?

- -Bunch of Chicken Littles screaming Kovs sky is falling. That's what Chicken Littles do for a living these days
I don't think so. He got rocked, but he knew he can fall on the ropes and bounce off them as do most fighters. If that was in the middle of the ring, maybe a flash KD, but probably not even that.
Kov has a good chin.
I'm just making questions man. Better than your "Al Haymon ****s me hard everyday" type of threads.
It's always good to question things, even better to get other peoples opinion on it. There are lots of cool people on here who will just tell you what they think instead of being a condescending ******* about it. I'm honestly surprised at the level of discord here, filter out all the shyt threads and topics and there's some good intelligent discussion and thoughtful insights to be found.
I can't believe you watched that I'm slow motion and came to that conclusion. Ask the mods to delete this thread

Agreed ,I would still pick Yarde after that one though,he showed he could be more effective against the better boxer and has them championship rounds in now, that is something you get with experience . Imop Kov doesn't get by a rematch .
Conditioning always bothered me with Kov I dont think he is hard trainer, a lot depends on how Yarde improves he lost just every round if Kov was to just box behind the jab with better conditioning he could win quite easily, but honestly I dont think there is enough gap in the division, just about any of the better guys can get a win over the other.
I just hope if its Canelo next that there is no CW bs thats its a legit LH bout, Kov looks to me like he struggles making weight, must be dense bone with him.
McGirt was close to stopping the fight go rewatch the corner after round 8. No doubt if he did that in a late 8 round he in all likelihood wins sooner ,was way to respectful and should have been way more aggressive ,lasting 11 when never going past 7 is extremely difficult in itself.
Buddy has not long lost a fighter in the ring, Im sure he will be more cautious and liable to stop a fight sooner after that.
Kov was in trouble and kept his composure to ride it out, he is boxing a lot better these days, no longer the crusher more a boxer puncher, his chin looks ok he took some very big shots.
How is it you don't know what a standing eight count is? I'm going to assume your both British. It seems to be common among them to always have an opinion about things they know nothing about.
Well, you know what they say about assuming. Last I checked Texas wasnt in Europe. Im familiar with the standing 8 count, if you would have read carefully you would have understood what I was saying.

He was trying get things going right from the start of the fight. He wasn't keeping up and was getting beat to the punch...Actually getting beat up by the jab. He didn't have many options at the point where he began shooting to the body....and he blew his load at that point. He just wasn't good enough technically but he was tough and he's a strong guy. He needs to go back to the drawing board and make some big improvements.
Nah lol, he was obviously stunned, he use the ropes as a tool like most experienced boxer should. His experience count today against a younger, fresher and hungry guy. But he was in there with someone that lacked big fight experience.
Nah, i think he was rattled but he was a few shots away from going down. As someone said you couldnt have argued with a standing 8 but who does that anymore?
Bunch of BS
Kovalevs heart saved him from the KO
Yep he was in trouble and held it together, Kov won every round bar the 8th and finally stopped him it was a good performance.
