Cotto has to go down as one of the weakest MW champs in modern times. Damm Cotto beat a 1 legged guy for the title. (I like Miguel, he just wasn't a MW.) The fact that Canelo beat a weak champ for the title is no coincidence, that's what the diva does. Other weak fighters he's beaten for titles include Matthew Hatton, Liam Smith and Rocky Fielding. Alvarez is a good fighter and a top MW, but what makes him special is he's a cash cow with Mexicans and Mexican Americans behind him. Every time the Mexican fights, he makes a lot of money for a lot of people.

And Golovkin himself. jacobs is better than vanes and rolls or anyone charlo or andrade had fought... if ggg would rematch jacobs that would be a good fight, as good as fighting charlo or andrade imo... fighting munguia or murata will be a level or two below... honestly serg isnt as good either...

It’s sad that canelo has to go through this drawn out process of selecting an opponent, and gave up his mexican date, just to try to find anyone other than ggg.

I heard his last 3 fights was Jacobs, Rocky Fielding and 1 ggg fight I guess you can excuse a guy for not remembering Rocky. :-)

GGG never gets a pass. What are you talking about. You are trashing GGG right now. GGG also fought Jacobs and he fought Canelo twice. He only fought cherry picks Vanes and Rolls because he thought he woud be fighting Canelo 3 months later. Canelo cherry picked Fielding to call himself a 168 pound champ instead of fighting the real champion Callum Smith who KOed Fielding in two rounds shortly before Canelo fought him. I know their past fights but I want to know who GGG and Canelo fight next. Right now Canelo has no fight. No Kovalev and no Derv and he has not fought since May and he says he won't fight in September so who and when is he fighting?. Smith KO'd Fielding back in 2015 in a single round. He's really no win worth writing home about and Canelo is not a SMW champ, he has to beat Smith the actual WBA champ to earn that merit.

And why should that be? GGG, Andrade and Jermall are all just about as good as Canelo so why are they not worth caring about???? Someday Canelo will lose and all those hearts will be broken. He isn't the superman you think he is. He will never fight GGG again but he must face good fighters and anyone of them might beat him on a given night. Supposedly there's a noon deadline for whether Canelo defends his IBF title or not, but who knows how long this Mexican soap opera goes on for? I'm sure all the top guys at MW are waiting on the diva's decision. The diva's like the hottest chiquita in the place and every dude wants to slap that azz. :D Listen Guy!
