Yeah, I don't know which fight he was watching, but it wasn't the Stevenson vs Gvozdyk fight.
Adonis was winning on 2 judges cards coming to the 11th round by 2 and 6 points... 3rd judge had a draw... It was close, but Gvozdyk had to flatten him for the win... Getting the last two rounds with a 10-9 on all the cards would have resulted in a Draw... Far from the perfect plan some here think of...
In what world was Stevenson winning that fight?! I'm sorry but he got battered

Nah not at all. I thought he was clearly losing that fight. Stevenson already got dropped in round 3 or something but it wasn't called
Oh well that is water under the bridge
Beterbiev destroys him inside five
Gvozdyk will be having nightmares , he just needs to be reminded of the amateurs
Gvozdyk has better boxing skills but he has a relatively suspect chin.Expect a boxing lesson from gvozdyk with beterbiev being capable to end it at anytime with his world class power.Carbon copy to Wilder-Fury.Best fight of the year imo.
Gvozdyk did absolutely destroy Adonis Stevenson who's one of the biggest punchers ever. I have a feeling it'll help him in this fight having that valuable experience against a high level puncher like him. Beterbiev is yet to face a fighter as skilled and deadly as Gvozdyk who can put his lights out too. Mind you Beterbiev is a bit of a chinny puncher himself.
You don’t think he was winning the fight ?
Gvozdyk took the first six rounds off
His plan was to have Stevenson gas out in the end
That was mastermind Teddy’s plan
Nothing more nothing less

I clearly understand what your saying
But Stevenson was winning the fight until that dreadful moment
Gvozdyk does not impress me
Decent technical fighter with power but nothing to brag about imo
This will be a great fight
Beterbiev overpowers him
Imo , Gvozdyk is kind of soft

I have seen Gvozdyk dropped and hurt before. I don't think he can take Beterbievs power man. But its 50/50. Beterbiev by KO or Gvozdyk by decision
Beterbiev will not let go once he smells blood
No chance for Gvozdyk
Won’t be easy imo , for him to win a decision if it gets that far which I don’t predict
Huh? He did give him the opening rounds and fought cautiously but that's a very bizarre way to describe a fight in which one guy got beaten so badly that it not only retired him, it permanently damaged him and almost cost him his life. The plan was clearly to turn up the pressure in the later rounds when Stevenson was not as dangerous.
I'm not trying to get in a back and forth about who will win, I just thought the above quote was weird when he nearly killed Stevenson and Beterbeiv hasn't even got near that level of comp yet.

He was beaten at his own game for 8 rounds against an aging and not quite on cue Stevenson ...

Control of distance will be absolutely key here... on the inside Beterbiev is an absolute animal, I've seen very few since iron mike who can produce that much torque from such a short range and he ain't bad at mid range either.
Thing is Gvozdyk is very mobile for a big dude and he's got the length here to be able to pick apart Artur from range... keep the distance, stay off the ropes and sharpshoot.
If Artur can consistently close then he got this, gonna chew Sasha up, wear him down to the body then finish him when he starts to slow... but I got Sasha here by utilising his advantages, footwork and mobility, dance outta trouble... bull and matador chit.
Nice post... I just don't see a Stevenson-level-Gvozdyk pulling this out... He was beaten at his own game for 8 rounds against an aging and not quite on cue Stevenson ... Beterbiev won't fade though... He usually even up the shots count in all the rounds... Unless Gvozdyk makes a statement early winning rounds he's up for a painful ride, like every other Beterbiev's opponents... Great fight of course but I don't see how he can pull it against an A game Beterbiev...
But of course I'm biased... :)
KO'd Cloud better than Adonis Stevenson before he had 10 fights. KO'd Campillo more viciously than Kovalev. Beterbiev was topping the performances, vs common opponents, of the most devastating boxerpunchers of the last decade or more, and he was doing it before he had 10 pro fights. What about that sounds like Tank Davis? Then even past his prime, when Beterbiev finally got to fight some top 10-15 LHW's again since Cloud, he dominated and stopped Hot Rod, who beat Marcus Browne who beat Badou Jack, and he stopped Callum Johnson who IMO is a top 15 light heavyweight.
Tank Davis needed the ref to bail him out vs Fonseca otherwise he was IMO on his way to losing. Beterbiev is undefeated. Tank Davis fights no one his size at all, let alone top 20 guys. His only good opponent was Pedraza when Pedraza tried to fight like a pressure fighter, and he still gave Tank more problems than anyone has ever given Beterbiev until Tank got him out of there.
So you can't compare Beterbiev to Tank. The power alone is much different. Tank is a good not great puncher, basically a Lomachenko level puncher which you saw a bit vs Pedraza but will see more if Tank ever fights more decent durable opposition. Beterbiev is one of the hardest punchers I've ever seen.
Great post. These imbeciles don't know who Beterbiev is. He carries insane power and he is super technical. He beat Gvozdyk in amateur. He actually broke his nose and ref stopped the fight. I believe the only one who can beat him is Bivol. However Beter vs Gvozdyk has potential to be the fight of the year. I'm very excited for this bout.
Beterbiev just doesn't know how to close the distance properly. He just lunges/runs forward recklessly. Gvozdyk just needs to fight tall and wait for these opportunities.
You said nothing about Gvozdyk being knocked out. You really didn't say much other than comparing it to Usyk/Gassiev in that it goes 12.
its going to be just like Usyk vs Gassiev. !!!
After all those years you guys still can't see that Beterbiev his highly skilled in his own style... Gvozdyk knows though... He will come around elusive and not wanting to exchange hoping for an opportunity... Beterbiev will take a shot to get inside and once he's there no one in the business has a better technique... No one in the business will destroy you like he does... A mixture of volume and astonishing short range power...
Gvozdyk is very good but I doubt he can sustain or endure a Beterbiev on his A game for very long... I believe no one at LHW can...
Artur by KO mid rounds... Time for that Gem to put all the pieces together before retiring...
