That being said. I think testing has been very, very effective. Not perfect, but highly effective. Just like there's no reason to be naive, there's no reason to be a nihilist. I am not saying you are, but the point needs to be made. Yeah, its true. Even if testing will never become perfect we need to work for it to be as close as possible. Only other option is let everyone do whatever they want and that would destroy the sport (and athletes health in the long run).

For every boxer who fails a test here are dozens who pass all tests. A handful of guys failing tests doesn't mean everyone cheats.

Boxing fans are, on the average, pretty dumb. Like Eugencis would reduce the sport's future fanbase by something like 90%. Im pretty sure most top athletes are on PEDs. Given that you can get away with cheating and the money involved makes it illogical not to cheat. If its a good chance your opponent is on something and can get away with it then it would be stupid not to seek the same kind of advantage. Only way to stop it is to create 100 % proof testing methods compulsory for everyone but i dont think its technologically and legally possible.

I’m pretty sure Donaire has always been clean. I think Thurman kind of shrunk since the wbc’s VADA program, Porter has shrunken since entering vada. Canelo’s body changed since VADA. I’m not sure those guys are completely clean, but vada definitely shrunk them, so they stopped something. Pacquiao doesn’t change whether there is vada, or usada, or no testing, seriously the only thing people got is “you’re not allowed to do that though”.
