Nope, Manny is 3-4 divisions smaller than Floyd. This run he's had at 147 is the equivilent of Floyd going to 160 or even 168 and dominating. Not saying Floyd couldn't have had success like that but he didn't and I'll always take tee fighter who pushes his limits and takes a few losses over the undefeated 1 who plays it safe. Yup to be as good as Manny, Floyd has to conquer middleweight. That's how far the gap is.

I agree, also Floyd Mayweather's win against Canelo Alvarez was much greater. People try and make out that Canelo Alvarez was only a baby, and was not the finished article. 'He was undefeated, and had just fought and beaten Cotto/ Mosely'. I can remember at the time many reporters where picking against Mayweather. Even Mayweather's win vs Oscar De La Hoya was greater than Keith Thurman. Oscar was about 5 years past any meaningful win. Canelo fought Cotto about 2 years after he fought Mayweather. And Canelo has gotten better by a large margin since the Mayweather fight so no, he was not a finished product just yet.

I understand everybody is still drunk off of manny’s win over thurman which is a great win for him but let’s sober up now. The reason why I think people are saying this win puts manny above Floyd is because let’s be honest thurman is the best win/ legit opponent manny has had besides Floyd in over a decade. Bradley was a solid win but I think thurman ranked higher. Manny fought delahoya after Floyd beat him. He fought Ricky hatton after Floyd knocked out a undefeated hatton. He fought mosley after a loss to Floyd and draw with mora. Floyd wiped out Marquez with ease while manny struggled all 4x against him(to be fair I believe Marquez was full of PEDS in the 4th fight) He fought a faded mathysse, Jeff horn a cherry pick gone wrong, Brandon Rios, Chris algirie and Jessie Vargas( a solid fighter but definitely not an A level opponent).
