So I just seen BoxingEgo’s Latest video, which I’ll provide link to in description. I want to first say the Gypsy king looked good in his last bout displaying his craftiness and reflexes.
My question to the board is do you think there is this “double standard” with the casual boxing fans. Tyson Fury is a great Boxer and has been receiving a lot of Praise for being knocked down against Wilder and beating a “Tom Swartz’s” in great fashion.
I mean if we all remember correctly wasn’t people saying Mayweathers style was boring, he does nothing but run, he has no punching power etc you name it, they’ve said it. But when Tyson Fury does it....he considered a Boxing Guru. I mean Floyd has made guys like Canelo, Marquez, Pacquiao, and Corrales look like easy work but Fury looks fantastic again Tom Swartz’s and is put on pedestals.

At elite level Tyson Fury can only fight one way, if you watched Mayweather's fights? At elite level he could fight, backing up, on he inside, against the ropes you name it 'Even if at 147, he was not a fearful puncher he still fought his opponents differently if he had to' It is a myth that Mayweather was a runner, a complete myth 'If he had to fight in a different style, then he did' He fought Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto, Ricky Hatton more offensively minded 'Because he had to, Hatton could move forward faster than Mayweather could move backwards or sideways' I always remember the shock in Hatton's camp, to how rough Mayweather was up close.
I have been stating this for a very long time? Tyson Fury is a one trick pony at elite level. 'It is one of the reason why, I think he dislikes going straight into rematches at elite level'.
One trick pony, but it is a really good trick 'None of these heavyweights have him figured out' Tyson Fury.
This is NSB. we have dozens of examples where Floyd has done something and its been condemned or criticized and when another fighter does the same thing it is overlooked or justified.
Imagine if Floyd or Wilder fought a guy ranked outside the top 50 and didn’t use drug testing. We’d never hear the end of it
Wilder made a whole career doing that lol
Agree to an extent but Ego is legit and far from bias. The reason some people dislike him is because he don’t bite his tongue and speaks truth, rather the audience likes it or not which is what I respect and like about the dude.
As far as the comment where you stated “who takes them serious” ? Just about all US Boxers watch those Vids. Wilder Responded and Gave a shout out to BoxingEgo, I’ve seen Andre Ward have hour long conversations and debates with the dude, so he’s definitely getting the attention and views from the boxing community.
if they like trollish behavior thats on them.....
I dont put up with that crap and call it out asap
i hope ur not claiming mayweather isnt put on a pedestal
Mayweather deserves to be put on pedestal. When you’re 50-0
Against names like Corrales,Mosley,Marquez,Coto,Canelo,Castillo,Maidana and Pacquiao
Fury and Wilder BOTH has fought 6 undefeated fighters in their profession careers. Besides Deontay Wilder who was Tyson Fury toughest opponent ? No Ortiz Yet, No Washington, No Ruiz Jr, No Povetkin... That’s the only point I’m trying to make.
Like I stated before Fury is a great and Boxer with great reflexes and movement for a man of that size and I’m actually of fan of his but the way people are speaking of him from his last 2 performances is questionable to me. I mean a fight where u get your head nearly taken off your shoulders and a Win against Tom Swartz’s who’s toughest competition was a guy name Senad Gashi and Swartz’s first time fighting in a 12rd bout was in 2018.
i dont even know who takes any of those youtube guys serious.....
I used to try to listen to a few.....
but their biases always end up showing, or they'll start posting stuff on their channel thats not boxing related or like that ego fella he likes to troll around etc.

Up until wilders 32nd fight he was still fighting guys who where 25-16-4,so fury fighting an undefeated guy for his 28th fight ain't that bad.
He was developed slowly what’s wrong with that? He started boxing at 20 or something. Besides fighters being protected coming up happens all the time. Now Fury is the supposedly best heavyweight in the world so why is he fighting a guy ranked in the 50’s?

The only hate that Fury is getting is on this board by trolls and alts. Twitter is completely in love with the guy.
As for the OP, Fury won the fight with Wilder and was robbed blind, and that's what the public remember.s
Stay humble.

I watched the Fury fight with a couple of my neighbors, neither is a big boxing fan. Both were impressed, amazed even at Fury. THAT is how you build a PPV audience, unfortunately. Tyson (Mike) did it and to some extent Floyd and Manny too. If you want to impress casual fans, give them an overwhelming dominant performance and it really doesn't matter so much against who, because most don't know the difference. Schwarz was undefeated, he must be really good.
What.?
The general consensus is that Mayweather is the best fighter of his generation. He gets a lot of credit. The only people who try to discredit him are some bitter Pacquiao fans or people who simply don’t like his rich and flashy lifestyle
Also, if we’re simply talking boxing, I think Fury gets credit for his style because he is a huge guy pulling off boxing skills that aren’t seen by guys that style
But Mayweather is rightly put on a pedestal by honest boxing folk. Don’t think otherwise because of a few cranks on boxing forums

yeah they would call wilder a crack head bum fighting bums who avoided a fury rematch! there would be hella threads about why he didn't do any drug testing as well!
yes there is a double standard and you would be in denial to say its not
people hated that style and called it running and boring, even called it the slick African American style... but its amazing that when certain fighters do it, its praised. I remember GGGee boxed and used the shoulder roll and fans who usually bash Floyd for actually moving when a boxing glove was coming towards his head were praising GGG saying SEE HE CAN BOX AND HAS DEFENSE. fury being 6'9 and boxing like that is something to marvel at indeed, I love it. But the same ones who bash certain fighters for fighting that way and calling it running and boring now praising it is funny to me but whatever. I guess I'm the racist one bring race into the equation right?
Not to mention if Floyd or wilder fought schwartz (a guy not even ranked top 30) after avoiding a rematch to settle a draw... we wouldn't hear the end of it.
