Highly suspicious of this fight. I don' care about either Joshua or Ruiz. I'm a Liverpool FC fan and only care what happens with them.
I call out suspicious behavior when I see it. Joshua as early as round 1 was asking his trainer 'what's happening' and 'why do I feel this way'. Looked confused even BEFORE he got hit. In fact looked confused DURING the introduction. Looked confused DURING THE WEIGHT IN.
I am 100% of the belief that he was drugged. I'm not saying that some sinister invisible man did this so he could lose the fight. I'm saying maybe his camp mixed up his food or some honest mistake was made. So not saying he was drugged intentionally but definitely drugged.
Before mocking me or drawing up Klitschko comparisons, let's wait a week and see how boxingscene vote.
I read in another forum thread that AJ had done poorly in sparring sessions. Just a rumour of course.
Maybe he got knocked down in sparring? Maybe he had some ring rust, with too long a period passing since his fight last September?
To me, he seemed to be... indifferent. As if he did not have a genuine interest in fighting on the night, and when they fought, that he did not like getting hurt, and eventually, he just wanted to get out of there.
Once the match was over, despite he lost, AJ seemed happy, as if he felt a big relief, because it was all over.
In sum, I think he had a night where he was either nervous, lacked confidence or did not really genuinely feel interested in boxing. He was there because he had to be there.
I honestly believe something bad happened in camp. Hearns was ready for the loss and so was Joshua it seems.
I think my theory will have a lot more weight when Joshua knocks Ruiz out in 2 rounds in the rematch.
What are you on about.
Firstly Hearns (who you would expect to come out with a bunch of BS on tap) said the camp was absolutely fine. And said the fact AJ had a cold was not significant.
Secondly, if the camp had ****** up, and there was genuine concern about losing, it's far easier to just pull out with an 'injury' of some kind. These things happen. Having built him up so carefully, why take any such risk?
Your making a bit of a twat of yourself today, i know your too giddy trolling to notice but you are coming across as a bit of a child. I fully expect you all to be having a bit of fun at our expense today, and many more days to come but you are a sad boy, im doutbful you are a man yet, you aint coming across like one.
Im holding my hands up, my man got beat and got embarrassed, Im saying what ever it is that went down with AJ, its his own damn fault. i can take the heat in here today no problem its all part of the game. But your embarrassing yourself here.
Going off this posts in the lounge, MCC hates his country, but when a British fighter loses, he suddenly loves it? Very odd.
i just rewatched the intro and he looks a little nervous, that's it. was his first fight outside the UK so that's probably why.
now we know why uncle eddie kept him wrapped up in the UK lmao
Aaaahhh found the prove the AJ cheerleaders have been searching for

Drake is a Canadian secret service agent that drugged AJ. Makes perfect sense now

Goes on to type 3 paragraphs of excuses

Barry and Eddie Hearn too both seem nonchalant and like they were totally prepared for this outcome.
What a load of utter nonsense. What was he supposed to do? Kiss Katie Taylor goodbye and then run around the arena yanking his hair plugs out and raving like a madman??
He reacted exactly how a promoter reacts when his cash cow gets upset by a total dog: trying to appear calm, yet rambling a mile a minute about an immediate rematch back in England with an English ref which Joshua “must win”, which he repeated three of four times. That’s pretty much par for the course.
AJ did seemed a bit off, on the intro he was in the corner resting on the ringside like he was too relaxed or trying to relax trying to get focus, maybe the time zone change didn't let him peak like hes use to, overlooked him a bit when he saw the lil fat essay
AJ always been robotic a bit slow but well schooled boxer, it was going like it usually does for him, he drops his opponent, they get up, he throws a flurry they go back down or gets a stoppage, he got caught in the mix against a fighter who didnt come to be an opponent, AJ wanted the easy warm welcome of his American debut and knew at fight time that it was a real fight
Either way I saw Ruiz punches smash his face plenty of times, he spat that mouth piece out and expected to get pampered like he usually gets, the big dosser forgot his not at home, he defined the meaning of big dosser lol
Ruiz left no excuses for team AJ, theres legit no excuse lol, its funny how some of these trolls are searching, its a fight all around from the moment its signed, be ready for war
Rewatched this morning: He got clipped to the side/top of his head on the way down in the first KD, has no idea that punch was coming, and every jab after that completely buckled him.
Wouldn’t be surprised if there was a mild concussion there. He also got hit with a body shot that was shown in the between round highlights that -really- bothered him. Ruiz kept going to the body through the fight.
So he never had his legs firmly under him after that first KD and was taking shots to the head and body. Couldn’t block both.
They don’t say “It’s the heavyweight division, anything can happen” for nothing.
Listen, you are in denial. Have you heard of the 7 stages of grief? The sooner you admit to yourself that Joshua got KTFO by the better boxer, the sooner you will get to the acceptance stage.
I already said this. Liverpool just won the champions league in Europe. I could care less. That's the only team I support and cry for. I don't care if Joshua got knocked out, I am stating it was suspicious.
Yea. Also in the post-fight, it's like AJ doesn't care about losing all his titles. For a few years all he's gone on about is collecting that green WBC belt to complete the collection, and now he has none. Has not seemed bothered at all, if anything he seems relieved.
Barry and Eddie Hearn too both seem nonchalant and like they were totally prepared for this outcome. There is also the posibility they are engineering their own legacy by having these type of swing fights. Think about it. If AJ beats Ruiz in an enthralling rematch, people will call for the third fight. Just like that AJ-Ruiz II & possibly III will be big-money Heavyweight fights. It also gives AJ and Hearn new directions to go in after being shut down by Fury and Wilder.
Exactly. Could be more money making fights. At the end, it's all about the greens.
If Joshua KO 1 Ruiz. There's potentially 2 more big money fights left(Fury/Wilder) not taking into considerations rematches.
Now we have at minimum FOUR more big money fights left. Ruiz trilogy just happened
I honestly believe something bad happened in camp. Hearns was ready for the loss and so was Joshua it seems.
I think my theory will have a lot more weight when Joshua knocks Ruiz out in 2 rounds in the rematch.

I really dont want to make excuses and we all know the rules, if you are willing to step in to the ring and claim you good to fight you take what comes to you including the result is what comes to you and you gotta live with the consequences and outcome of that . BUT,,,,,,,
Something did not seem right last night, As soon as Joshua stepped through the ropes, our 1st real look of him for a length of time that day, he was acting different and not in a positive way. All quiet in his corner, chewing on his mouth piece, lots of little strange things a bit out of character. Something was out of place. He is also quite accurate with his punches but was missing by a mile, i dont expect them all to land, he aint that accurate but he was way off, he wasnt even trying to pull his arm back up to gaurd at all let alone quickly which is a staple of his usual defense. Talking in the corner alot, It all just seemed out of place. And although im aware Ruiz can bang and it was a brain rattler up on the side of the head but that 1st big shot took everything from Joshua, he was pretty much done. It was a good shot and i know Joshua hasnt got a great chin but im a little surprised just how much it took from him.
Im not going to go as far as call out some sinister activity. It could be anything as simple as extreme nerves, that saps your energy big time, he could of froze on a new big stage, Wembley and 90'000 is amazing but America, MSG, new eyes on you, more demanding eyes, maybe he just froze and the nerves got to him earlier. That aint no excuse by the way, dealing with that is a big part of being a top sportsman. You gotta handle the nerves.
But what ever, something didnt seem right but there has been no complaints from team AJ so far about the time leading up to the fight so until then all i can do is give Andy Ruiz full credit and congratulate him on becoming the new Unified Heavyweight champion of the world.
Man please stop. Ruiz whooped him fair and square. Saying stuff like this is trying to discredit his win
It's not discrediting his win.
A large amount of people thought Brazilian Ronaldo was drugged prior to world cup final 1998. That doesn't discredit France's win.
Drugs happen in sports. This is normal. I am willing to bet 5% of all boxing losses result in druggings.
