Jim grey a showtime spokesman all ready shunned this fight publicly and said nobody wants to see that fight lol.
so I guess showtime has alot of damage control to do lol.
But Ortiz struggled in his last two fights
Ortiz won every round against Hammer, knocked Kauffman down three times, and destroyed Cojanu in two rounds. That's not struggling, that's dominating.
Nobody has ever hurt Ortiz in ten years as a professional.
The only man who did is The Bronze Bomber.
If Ortiz had come into the fight winning against good names and doing so in style I think it could have done ok numbers.
But Ortiz struggled in his last two fights against total bums and looks shot. Based on that I can't see many buying it.
Well you can’t compare sales in two diff countries
You are right...
Some are happy paying 20pounds while some are crying paying $70.
Obviously you can't compare.
1.8 mil where in the uk where you only pay $20 compared to $70 for a us ppv it’s £22 which is 30 dollars and 1.8 million is 6 times the amount wilder did against fury lol... next question
Wilder is a massive flop, he is only relevant when mentioned with AJ or Fury. If it wasnt for these UK Heavyweight Wilder would still be totally unknown, my prediction is about 120k real numbers and they might announce it like "close to 200k", obviously lying to the public once again.
Then again after all the negative feedback they might even backpedal and not put in on PPV and just eat the losses once again, so Wilders irrelevance doesnt become more public. Same with Errol Spence who was only on PPV because he fought a Mexican.

You are a liar, brits pay more than 20$ and yanks pay more than 70$ for PPVs.
Joshua did 1.8 million ppv against klitchko and wilder did 300 k against fury ...ppv views Joshua wipes the floor with wilder all round.....300k and half go’s to the tv distributor lol
If Joshua boxed on terrestrial t.v in the uk he would get views of 6 million in the uk not 990k what wilder did with showtime.
And he sells more fight tickets 8x over.
Even madison square Garden he sells more.
Combine figures and see who comes out on top.

Joshua vs Klitscko did 659k on Showtime
Wilder greatly out views AJ on the money market of the USA.
AJ vs Parker did 458k views
AJ is not known
Fury vs Klitschko did just over 1 million views Joshua did 1.8 million ppv against klitchko and wilder did 300 k against fury ...ppv views Joshua wipes the floor with wilder all round.....300k and half go’s to the tv distributor lol

Gumbo
what the hell you talking about it was not shown on box office or ppv ...it was on normal showtime T.V and did 990 k ...that’s pathetic for a world heavyweight champion lol

Looking at the cost of PPV in the US, anything close to 200K would cover the cost of the fight. Gate fee + rights + others would lead to profit, even if only marginal.
Viewing numbers it was a one round fight so people didn't really have time to tune in in over the course of a longer fight so while they are a bit lower than 1 million peak they are normal and likely would have been better had the fight lasted 4 or 5 rounds so means very little. Numbers without context are meaningless~
Less tickets well Breazeale is not that appealing of a fight and the fight sold just fine at the box office compared to pretty much every other American fighter who could not hope to sniff gate numbers like that against a cat like Breazeale.
So yea his star is still rising, because he got the highlight from the fight he needed and all anyone who watched the fight before or after talked about was the guy impressively laid out on the canvas. Don't talk about stuff you don't get. what the hell you talking about it was not shown on box office or ppv ...it was on normal showtime T.V and did 990 k ...that’s pathetic for a world heavyweight champion lol
