Loma also only looks invincible against no-hopers like Crolla and Marriaga. The two somewhat decent C fighters he had fought before that were life and death struggles. What's your point?
my point is loma has belts,,,lopez doesn't
he never fought on main event lol
crolla is mandatory while lopez is what ? loma haters mandatory ? lol
Because white boys like their non white fighters to be nice and humble all the time but when a white boy is boastful and a ****tt talker they say “aww it’s all part of the sport he’s just hyping the fight up”
True story.
Larry, remember when some of the older Floyd fans talked about earning fights, the guys who tend to support Loma were outraged by that thought. Now that Loma is in a similar position, although not generating anywhere near the same revenue, the guys that support him sound like all of us that talked about earning a fight.
Oh how times have changed.
I have no problems with Lopez wanting the fight at all. He probably knows he's moving up in weight sooner rather than later too.
That said, I think his advisers may have a rethink if push comes to shove. In an era of building a fighter by keeping his '0', facing the P4P number 1 before you've faced anyone with a pulse is risky.
I think Loma's shot was a special case due to being one of the best amateurs ever. He went into that fight with Salido and all eyes were already on him, not Salido.
So for me, there's no problem that Lopez wants the fight. But I cringe when people try to push the 'ducking' agenda. Especially when it comes from people who have always had an obvious agenda against Loma. It's clear what they're up to. They don't think the fight is on the radar, so they keep bringing it up. (Think GGG-Lara several years ago).
If the fight was signed, the same people would start discrediting it. By the time Loma had won, they'd disregard the fight completely.
Most people can't name a Lopez opponent without boxrec, even then they wouldn't recognize the names. But they will tell you the number 1/2 P4P fighter is ducking him.
heres the issue...hes a legit threat and his fanbois dont want legit threats
its like when they excused lara and ward for lil g so he could fight willie monroes, dom wades and kell brooks....it was always someone elses fault or some excuse...some excuse about wanting to unify or whatever
if loma is the good he can beat lopez and still unify after that...these guys know theres a short window to make this fight of maybe a year tops.....if they excuse it they hope it will just go away.....like ward did to 175
"140 next year" sounds like an excuse?!?!?! hahahahaha now ive heard it all...maybe its just a 21 year old who thinks hes gonna outgrow 135 by next year? hahahaha an excuse? if anything hes saying he wants the fight ASAP....which should be an advantage for loma since lopez is "so green and hasnt proven anything" right?!?!?
god you guys cant keep your stories straight....its pathetic...and you have the nerve to question my fandom? you guys excuse anything and everything
you guys claim that tank is shook..mikey dont wanna fight loma...and nobody wants to fight him...then you get a guy that is calling for it right now...and hes in the top rank house so its an easy make....and you clowns are still making excuses!!!
Probably because he was famous for being one of, if not the most decorated amateur in history.
There were a few guys who got shots early and they usually were Olympic heroes.
... this isn't a reasonable arguments for the OP... you should have cited Claressa Shields as an example -- in order for him to try and make some sense...
I think the issue is haters using him to say Loma ducking??! Loma trying to unify why does he have to fight him just cuz fans want him to when he hasn't done anything... Not Mandatory, no resume, no belt.
But i wouldn't mind it.
It shows how dumb they are really. I mean anything can happen in boxing and everything but like you pointed out, these guys are just using Lopez in a way. The same way they did Rigo (He too small doe - After the fight). Walter (He was inactive doe). Russell (It was close doe).
There is always someone they would push, there would always be an excuse after they lose to Loma, Mayweather went through the same thing. It comes with the territory. They really scared of the unknown when it comes to Loma.
There is no issue with him wanting the fight...
The issue is that Lopez and his fans expect Loma to fight him over unifications...that is ridiculous. If Loma can fight other champions...he will unify, that is his goal. So if Lopez gets a belt he can get the fight. If he doesn't then he only gets the fight if there are no belt holders available or if he stays at 135 for a little longer. That "I'm at 140 next year" sounds like an excuse to me. Champions first. End of story. I'm sure you would agree with this right Larry? Let Loma chase his goal of becoming undisputed and not waste his time with prospects.
Dumb question, Salido wasn’t a P4P fighter when Loma fought him. Loma didn’t just turn up and ask to fight the number 2 guy on the P4P list. I see people asking this dumb question on YouTube too like fucking casuals.
Posters claim he hasnt proved himself and doesnt deserve a shot, well what did Loma do to earn a title shot in his 2nd fight?
Winning two gold Olympic medals, for example? :)

Loma is a great talent and very entertaining...I am just showing why the debate exist
The debate doesn't even exist. People like you are just uninformed or plain have an agenda. I wonder which one.
The reason Lomachenko got a title shot in his 2nd pro fight?
Because he used his amateur pedigree as leverage. When he became pro he would only sign with a promoter who would give him a title shot in his first match. No one did, but Bob offered him a title shot in his 2nd fight and that was the best offer he got so he took it.
Is this really so damn hard for people to comprehend?
If a guy wants to fight another guy I have no problem. It's boxing and you want to prove yourself. I'd rather have Loma matched against Garcia/Davis/Berchelt or someone more established. Only because at his age, time is not on Loma's side. I get why he doesn't want to go against a prospect that has nothing to really entice him to pick him over anyone else. Now if Top Rank can gather up enough money to sell the fight then I'm sure he would take it.
The thing that I don't really understand is why Lopez's team seem so adamant on making this fight asap. When it's time for your fighter to step up to a pfp guy you want to make sure your guy is in his prime. If I'm Lopez's trainer I'm telling him to go ahead and fight one of the champs at 135 that isn't Loma. Not because there is a lack of confidence but because of the experience and age factor.
Teofimo is a weight bully at 135 and can't handle the cut any longer which is why he's pushing for 140 by year's end (according to him).
He's only calling out Loma for clout because he knows the fight will never happen. If he truly wanted Loma, he'd demand a title fight at 135 to get his name in the actual mix to fight Loma.
Stop trolling man.
Loma vs Davis
Lopez vs Haney
These are the hot fights to make.
The only difference between Lopez and Davis is one of them Pedraza wasn't afraid to fight. Hell you could offer Pedraza the same amount of money he accepted for the Davis fight to fight Lopez and bet he wouldnt take it.

I agree but those fights ain’t happening. Davis would probably fight Loma tomorrow but Floyd and Ellerbe have brainwashed him that he isn’t ready for that step up. I believe he is but from a business standpoint, Floyd doesn’t think the benefits outweigh the risks.
Truth is, Loma is on the downside of his career...and for Bob he isn’t turning out to be the next Pacman like he expected. Shoulder surgery and now a potential broken hand.
I like Loma but I don’t think he’s up there with the ATGs. Only reason being is because at the end of the day he just hasn’t been able to draw people in. He’s not a star and to be honest will just end up like GGG. Someone who did great in the sport, will make the HOF, but not make an impact close to the top 15-20 greatest fighters in history.
The fighters of old fought everyone. Robinson, Leonard, Tyson. Those dudes fought everyone. Title or no title. If they had hype, they fought em. Loma isn’t in a position to capture the masses of people and become someone we will drool over years after he retires. Arum probably thought he would but truth is...Loma needs several GREAT dance partners.
Ryan will have a career like Khan. Davis is literally all greatness in the ring and all a bag of rocks outside of it. Meaning, Mayweather knew he had to leave Arum to blossom. Tank immortalizes Floyd too much to leave him. So although I’m rooting for him...I don’t think he’ll make the right moves till it’s too late. Haney has potential but his lack of power and ring IQ will show as his competition rises.
Lopez HAS to show his greatness if he gets that title shot and subsequently Loma. And if he loses to Loma and falls off the face of the earth, then so be it. There will be a dozen behind him waiting to fill the spot. But what if he pulls it off?
There is no issue, there's probably also tons of eastern european and asian unranked rookies who want to fight Loma or other elite fighters. Why would they give Teofimo a chance when he has done nothing for it?
There were probably hundreds of young upcoming fighters with no resume out there wanting to fight Mayweather, did Floyd fight any of them?
Did you ever ask Floyd to fight them?
I would say the answer to both questions is no.
Lomachenko's career path has been unusual from the get go...but it was his own choice to go after the top guys this early in his career. He rolled the dice and he succeeded. And now he gets the same treatment as the guys who went the traditional way like Floyd or Manny after only 14 fights. Lomachenko is an anomaly. That's why it's so exciting and refreshing to follow his career. He's not like other fighters.
Lopez on the other hand, has chosen the more traditional approach and has been slowly upping his level of competition. Which is fine. But if you choose this way you are expected to follow this path step by step and rightfully so. You can't just jump from level 2 to level 5 because you think you're ready. It doesn't work like that. If Lopez challenged Loma after his (Lopez's) pro debut I would be intrigued and I'd root for him to pull off the upset. Because it's uncommon to see a do that this early in his career.
Lopez made his choices and now he has to live with IT, NO EXCUSES.
Posters claim he hasnt proved himself and doesnt deserve a shot, well what did Loma do to earn a title shot in his 2nd fight?
There is no issue. But unifiication fights trump fighting an unknown prospect.
There is no issue with Lopez calling out Lomachenko and wanting to fight him.
The real issue, is people acting like Lomachenko is obligated to fight Lopez.
He has no top 10 wins. No belts. Nothing. Lomachenko doesn't/shouldn't have to fight a guy who has done nothing. Salido decided to take the fight against Lomachenko. That's on him, he took it for the payday. If he didn't take the fight, nobody would have cared or bashed him for it. It was a champion vs. a prospect.
Not a mandatory, not a fight against a champion/former champion, not an exciting, proven contender.
Mikey Garcia, Commey, Berchelt, Easter Jr. vs Barthelemy winner, hell even Campbell--- they are all proven opponents. Can't believe anyone has the nerve to talk about Lopez when Berchelt is a better option and is also a Top Rank fighter. What a joke.
