WBC champion is also not in the tournament wbc interim champ was in tournament. WBC already elevated Prograis to WBC diamond champ status.

It's a smoke screen because they shook to fight taylor. They already got the belt and wanted to milk it for easier fights. Its as simple that that. If he don't want to fight strip his azzz without the belt he isn't relevant. If he gets stripped he's phuked his IBF belt will be up for grabs and back in the tournament which is what WBSS only cares about they replace him maybe even sue him for because he broke his contract.
