AJ has most of the belts and generates much more money so why would Wilder deserve a 50/50?????? Maybe demanding a 50/50 split is Wilder deliberately pricing himself out of that fight and the same goes for Fury.It would be worth it for them to take 60/40 IF they win but I think they both would get KOed.
Definitely not, he knows he doesn’t deserve it himself. He has no ambition IMHO, everyone is begging Joshua to give him 50 percent, but that doesn’t even mean he would take the fight. One name, one face one joke. He isn’t any different to non-Americans that win a title then hold it hostage in their countries whilst never unifying.
60/40 is fair. People can say they robbed Fury and they are basically correct, but I don't see that have any real influence on whether Wilder vs Joshua is interesting or not. Even if Fury was given the decision, he was still knocked out cold and survived by a fraction of a second. The ref did an AMAZING job, but that's not always the case and we've all seen fights get waved off immediately after knockdowns like that.
So at the end of the day, to me Wilder's stock is exactly how it was prior to the Fury fight. He's technically terrible, won't win any decisions but will absolutely knock you out cold at any moment. Fury also could've thrown more punches, he also didn't do that much when you really analyze it...more than Wilder but still not very much.
I want to see all of these guys fight each other multiple times and I think 60/40 is fair for any combination of them in favor of whoever has more relevant belts. I do agree that the WBC is the most coveted and perhaps worth 2 of Joshua's belts in my mind.
Based on what each man brings to the table 40% is an overpayment, Joshua brings three times the belts, he's the bigger draw, brings global recognition, has a better resume, is a better ambassador for the sport and although younger and less experienced has consistently challenged himself and rapidly raised the level of his opposition in half the number of fights. At least it gets the fight made though.
50% however would be bad for boxing, because other fighters would look at the years of padding on Wilder's resume and think that was the path to follow to riches. The split should reflect the level of risk taken in each fighters career and on that criteria Wilder doesn't deserve anything like 50.
Absolutely not
Wilders highest pay day 7m
Joshua’s 30m
Wilder is being paid 4m
For his next fight by his masters
Joshua getting 25m in the USA and probably 5-7m from the uk easy
Wilder is a coward who needs to be stripped
No he does not, but there is a chance he ends up getting just that. His team is obviously banking on that. But to answer the question, no, no he does not deserve 50/50. 60/40 Joshua is fair and 58/42 or 57/43 would be damn good for Wilder.
