Is it Wilder? I’m talking about someone with a prime Mike Tyson mentality where they really want to hurt the guy and make no friends. Like I said wilder and even kovelev and some Mexicans come to mind but I can’t really think of many fighters with that kill mentality today.
Theres something a bit "American Psycho" about Buatsi. Clearly very clever, chooses to be a boxer. Overly respectful of the guy he's fighting before and after the fight. Goes around the ring with this calm demeanour, then explodes into brutality. Something strange going on in that head of his.
AJ is vicious in the ring.
Don't be fooled by the Takam and Parker fights where he simply wanted to go rounds and hone his skills and stamina.
Bro that was skills? :lol1:
Lol, most top boxers want to kill their opponent while hoping he doesnt actually die.
Froch is one that has said he wanted to kill kessler
Duran after beating the sht outta some guy who was sent to the hospital was informed of such and remarked that next time he'll send him to the morgue.
These guys are gladiators.
I don't think there are many cats if any in any specific point of time on a high level who's Tyson-like in that way. They certainly aren't as outwardly projecting that image like Tyson was if they are.
That’s how I see it there is no one, you gotta be brainwashed
to kill it was a oldschool thing.. but just imagine anyone elite with that mentality today omg
Kovalev! He actually killed someone in the ring.
Kovalev seemed to lose his killer edge around the time he became a father, though whether it was that, silk sheets syndrome, the psychological change from being hunter to hunted or just meeting more defensively sound / awkward fighters is hard to say.
Definitely Tank Davis. That guys a heavy hitter in every sense of the word. He needs to put his mf'ing foot down and hold his teams feet to the fire. He should just assume all the ***** Floyd says to cameras or Al says to him about landing big fights is a load of crap. IMO he's going to have to either leave Floyd's promotion or demand results if he ever wants to accomplish big things.
For some reason it seems to be more some of the smaller - sub WW - dudes right now. I got Rougarou, Tank, Teofimo ( maybe gonna see how vicious he looks when he steps up a bit)... Josh Taylor seems to take some kinda savage pleasure in his work too, tho he's a punisher more than a killer.
Wilder did say he wanted to catch a body.
At one time I thought GGG had that mentality, buts it's mostly when he's not fighting good fighters.
Teofimo Lopez can probably develop that mystique. "Danger Zone" David Benavidez?
going 7 rounds with a guy flannagan bagged in 2? those slappy punches aren't going to work on good fighters but he can be the maliganggi of not giving a f-uck
Lemieux maybe? He talks a lot of **** and basically just goes in there to try to knock your head off with no plan B. Lejarraga fighting this weekend is a killer. Maybe Beterbiev or Kudryashov.
