Christian Hammer, high workrate, active until the final bell, can fight effectively going forwards or backwards, has a decent defense. At this moment in time I'd say Hammer is Luis Ortiz's best opponent outside of Deontay Wilder. If Ortiz is expecting to just stroll up looking fat and wheezing his old ass off, fight at a snail's pace and score a clubbing knockout, he could come unstuck. Hammer is an underrated boxer and very, very durable. I don't doubt he will win rounds in the fight. If this fight goes as I envision, and Ortiz gets exposed once and for all, I hope people finally give it a fookin' rest with the hyping him up.
Fought a roided up Povetkin, hung in there til the final bell, backed him up a few times. Look at this highlight video that is meant to make Sascha look good, and stop lying. Can see even from that video that what you said isn't true. And bear in mind this "highlight" leaves out all of Hammer's best work in the fight. Hammer had a go, against a better fighter than Ortiz, in his own backyard. He didn't come to survive, he just had all the cards stacked against him and was needing a miracle to win.
Bro I saw the fight live and didn't even care who would win. I didn't see Hammer win a single round and yes he was just in there to survive. I don't have a reason to lie. The only times Hammer threw punches was just to keep Povetkin away from him. He did just enough to survive, he didn't try to win. 90% of the time he was just trying to defend, nothing more. He turned it in to a ****fest of a fight.
Hammer is trash...didn't try to win a round vs Povetkin and was just there to survive

If he can't back Ortiz up then he doesn't stand a chance. All Ortiz is going to do is walk him down and back him up all night long. In addition, if he decides to open up and exchange offensively, then King Kong would just time him and catch in the exchanges.
