This is the same Tony weeks who stopped the kovalev v ward rematch after a collection of lowblows and one knockdown, without even a count if memory serves me right.
Yet he let Jack continue after one of the worst cuts in living memory.
What's up with him?
There was never a knockdown in the Kovalev vs Ward rematch?! Where TF did you get that from? Only KD was Kovalev putting Ward on the ground in the 1st fight
It's his corners fault. Doctor and Ref are just looking to see if his vision is impeded. The forehead bleeds a lot and always looks way worse than it is (exception - this time) His corner should have thrown in the towel instead of selfishly sending Jack out there for a DQ while telling him and everyone else that the cut wasn't that bad.
Ref referred it to the doctor. The doc wiped the blood out of one eye and said "can you see?". Not sure what he expected a fighter to say.
All culpable, but his corner committed the biggest crime. When Badou sees that footage back, you'd hope he would part company with them.
And the corner teling him, "yeah, lets DQ him"
Lol worst advice ever. That corner is way more guilty than weeks, thats for sure

Would a rematch be a fair request from Team Jack? I fell alseep and missed this fight, only saw the last minute or so. That hole in Badou's head looked fookin' grimey though.
Wouldn't be outrageous, but it would be foolish. He had no answers and never really got off the ground. Best go a deferent route. There's a lot of options at 175.

his arms are soaked in blood, how did he not stop that fight?
I dont know but Weeks used to be one of the best. Its a shame how far he has fallen as a ref. Then when you consider the bs stoppage we seen last week, it really makes you wonder where the standards have gone.

I agree. Not just because of the cut itself...but surely the loss of blood must have weakened him as well. I don't know how much you have to lose before you pass out...but I'm certain he would have needed a transfusion after the bout.
