It is out of my control and up to Thurman but Thurman constantly reminds us he is the best and the number 1 welterweight in the world. He should quit saying that until he is ready to prove it in the ring, He won close fights over Porter and Garcia years ago but that does not make him number 1 over and above active champions Spence and Crawford who he never defeated. He has not fought in so long that he has to prove himself all over again. Before his injury layoff, he was clearly the #1 welterweight, so of course he still thinks he's the best, why wouldn't he remind us and promote himself at the same time? He has already proven it, The Truth and Crawford have not done enough to establish themselves as the #1 welterweight, as highly as I regard them and respect them, they have to EARN that #1 spot. Do something Thurman hasn't done and take it from him. Thurman will be an 'active champion' again in a few weeks and still have the best RESUME. Funny how despite being the most proven out of the 3, Thurman gets the most pressure to fight the other two, even tho he hasn't fought in 2 years and the last time he did fight neither of those guys were even champions at 147. Don't get me wrong, I wanna see all these fights in 2019, but when you put things into perspective, it's just not realistic. It's out of the fighters and fans' control. I'm getting tired of this fucking guy. Me too. I understand taking things slow but Thurman is a damn turtle when it come to taking his time. One warm up fight with his cherry pick should be enough. Then fight a welterweight champion. If he can't beat a champion after a warm up fight he won't beat a champion in 2020.
