Jarrett Hurd is one Huge mofo to be at JMW. How?

Hurd is young enough to shred so much weight

It's a brutal weight cut. Will become dangerous if he keeps doing it for too long. On the flip side, Hurd should easily grow onto mw, smw and even lhw. Canelo did a similar cut at 154/155, but his style isn't made for fighting much longer guys. Quick reflexes and countering won't take you far against folks who keep the distance. Hurd on the other hand, should be able to put on muscle mass while still remaining faster than other fighters at 160 and 168. Could be another hitman in the making.

Even the Charlo brothers said Hurd was huge, they were shocked at his size If I were to guess he is a huge weight cutter, probably cuts 35 pounds in 8 weeks.

I assume it's a pretty brutal weight cut, he won't be able to make that weight for much longer. One thing he has going for himself is that he's 27 years old. Give it a couple years and he'll either fatigue during fights or just move up because the weight cut is too much. Look at Kell Brook, he was considered a big WW, but even he had a hard time cutting weight and by the time he was 30-31 he had to move up.

Hurd is no bigger than any other full sized 154 pound boxer. He weighed 168 pounds on fight night the same as his opponent Lara. Trout and Jermell also both weighed 168 on fight night when they fought each other. Showtime thoughtfully posted their fight night weights for us plain as day to anyone who was paying attention. All 4 boxers weighted within 8 ounces of each other on fight night. Hurd was no heavier than any of them. Taller, yes. Heavier,no.

One of the reasons why I feel the Golovkin's fanbase is one of the most disgusting in the history of the sport. They will cast smaller fighters like Cotto and Canelo or even focking Mayweather as cowards for not fighting him but don't realize how hypocritical they're being. I don't the get enjoyment they're getting in seeing him against constantly over-matched opponents. But then again, I'm not a racist beta male with an inferiority complex looking for a hero. golovkins internet fanbase is made up of 80 percent of those they made up every excuse for him to not fight andre ward at 168 and made of fun of the 3 guys you mentioned....they even laughed at canelo for fighting khan but when lil g fought brook it was just cause eubanks lost his pen and brook was all that was left...lol

Too lazy to check boxrec but doesn't he usually weigh in around 153? It's crazy seeing that. I have no clue how he makes that weight so easily. On a side note, Cotto was never big at 154, but damn that picture is crazy the it looks like a super middle weight standing next to a welterweight or some *****
