Someone just said that he would beat all 90's Welters except Pernell and Tito. What has he done to be favored over the likes of Oscar, Curry, Mosley, Quartely, and Vernon?
Totally Over-rated.
When you best win is VICTOR POSTOL, you really don't have much to hang your hat on.
Let Crawford fight MANNY PAC, SPENCE JR, THURMAN and GARCIA before proclaiming greatness on him.
He can now
I think he's not even vaguely overrated, but then again, I've never heard anyone say anything like your "someone just said" and I have no idea if they did, why they did, or if they were trolling or a megafan, which most big name fighters get. Pacquiao had people saying he would KO Leonard and Hearns for a while. So what? Someone said something in some corner of the internet and that means the fighter is a candidate for most overrated? Yeesh.
Honestly, he's like on a pedestal for me that is rocking between overrated and not. He gets hit and sometimes I don't see so much what makes him great other than he's TOUGH. He fights hard and usually can outfight his opponent. His speed appears average and so does his power. Maybe above average power but again, we haven't seen him fight another banger that is his weight or heavier.
I think him beating a small Gamboa is a somewhat overrated win. Him beating Horn tonight still wouldn't change my impression much of him. Horn never beat a near 40yr old Pac out of his prime no matter what anyone says.
Yeah right now he is, he gets rated highly becaus he unified a division, but the truth it, it was a dead division and he was basically gifted the belts. Indongo? Come on. Postol? Uhh nothing special. Gamboa? Tiny dude who himself doesnt have any notable wins, the rest: Not noteworthy.
Wha will you say if he stops Horn.

Oscar beat Trinidad convincingly and Mosley in the second fight. Crawford has not beaten anyone to be favored over at atg lightweights or welterweights.
actually dlh didn't meat mosley that convincley the 2nd time. Aside from the commentary, the fight was fairly close. Mosly's body work went unnoticed by Lampley and crew. The dlh/mosley fight I was referring to was their ww fight in 2000
Mosley isn't a 90s welterweight. He spent most of the 90s at lw. But I get the point. I'd have to see him perform at ww first before I can say he'd beat those guys. Oscar wasn't really all that great at ww either. Actually he wasn't great at all. Gifts against Quartey and Whitaker and a beating a washed up Chavez at 147 again doesn't help his case. The big fight he actually should have won was against Trinidad but they took that from him. Then Mosley outslugged him in 2000.

I believe he is. Horn will make crawford run all night and the judges will give him a gift decision.
Horn getting stopped to the body just like John Molina who also had a size advantage over Crawford.

Well, when he whoops the dog mess outta Horn, it'll be just another win that someone has to discredit. :boxing:
weaknesses dont appear until you throw someone in with a world class opponent though. im not saying hes gonna get exposed as some bum but people are calling him p4p number 1 and hes literally fought noone. postol struggled to some bum in his next fight, diaz got beat by some nobody and indongo got sparked out by a prospect. the only way we'll find out how good he is is at 147 against world level opposition, cause as far as im concerned all hes shown is hes good at beating B/C level fighters
Yet when your love interest was beating up B/C level fighters, you were on here proclaiming him as P4P #1, hofer and an atg. I wonder if lil g being Caucasian and Crawford being black has anything to do with your opinion? Just a crazy thought running through my head.......
