Pac/May both draws. Not Comparable To Joshua/Wilder

I said Oscar's offer (which to me didn't even exist) was BS. I think the same of Hearn's offer. So? how am I an hipocryte? If you said they all are bad offers fine. I have no issue. I made it clear what I have an issue with.

The poll does not reflect that most people think its BS but that its about even. I don't have the polls in front of me regrading GGG/Canelo and Floyd/Manny, but I don't recall it being this close. I see alot of posters comparing the flat fee offers from Pac-May and GGG-Canelo but they couldn't be more different IMO. Pac had made upwards of $20 million on his own and the Floyd fight may literally have been the biggest fight in boxing in the last 15 years and everyone knew it was gonna destroy PPV records. GGG made around 5 million in the brook fight I believe. Offers reportedly were $10 million flat fee for Canelo in a fight again everyone knew would do at least 1 million buys on PPV. Now we have Wilder-JOSHUA. One guy makes 10x more than the other per fight because he's a star where he's from. The other guy makes 2 million per fight and has a somewhat low profile compared to other big name fighters. He's offered 6x more than he's ever made to date. If Pac was offered $120-$140 flat offer and GGG $30 million flat offer, I'd say the majority of the people here would say they're crazy for not jumping all over those offers. Wilder JOSHUA is no where close to those 2 fights here in the US so that $70 PPV per order money coming in is non existent. Wilder could fight 5 more times and only make 12.5 million or he could take the payday and probably win and control all future negotiation for the rematch. Bottom line is Wilder-JOSHUA is not on Par with the most recent fights that people were offered flat fees for and were smart to reject them.

Guys, how many PPV's sold has no bearing on the discussion of flat fee offers. The people that felt Mayweather's flat fee offer to Manny and ODH's flat fee offer to GGG said the concept of the flat fee offer wasn't fair. Now that AJ is doing this to Wilder, the same posters have no issue with the concept of the flat fee offer. To justify their switch in position and avoid being labeled fanboys or hypocrites these posters are going with "ppv sales" as the determining factor if a flt fee offer can be made. Complete and utter bullsh-t. All of us really know what is going on: When Manny and GGG, 2 very popular guys on NSB, got flat fee offers from Floyd and Canelo, 2 guys NSB re not high on, their fans didn't like it because the bigger stars were treating their favorites like regular opponents, not "stars" or "HOF'ers", and said they should just be happy getting a career high payday. That triggered their fans. AJ is a popular guy on NSB. Wilder is not liked or respected. there is a difference but may n pac names shouldn't even be brought up for any other reason outside of the fans scoffed at the flat rate offer n said their fighter shouldn't take it my only thing is to send another champ a flat rate offer without a venue or date for the fight and tell them they have 48 hours to sign it or you are moving on after you sat n negotiated with joseph parker to reach a 33% deal is just crazy. I don't see how anyone can defend it. now if the deal states when and where the fight will be and says Joshua will take the same split in a rematch if he loses then wilder should do it as he said he would.

AJ's offer to Wilder - if the rumours are true - is also for an immediate fight. Oscar's offer to GGG was different, very different, because he was asking Golovkin to accept terms for a fight that wasn't going to happen for another year, whether the offer was accepted or not. Well that is a fair point about Fishnets offer.

The bigger difference, IMO, is that May&Pac had sound reputations built over many years and fights. Joshua and Wilder do not. Wilder needs this way more than Joshua. He needs a break-out fight. He needs a live body. He needs to get paid. The problem is Joshua really do not need to fight him. Period. I think Wilder wins btw even with a british ref and judges. Wilder will catch Joshua from the outside.
