Lara called out GGG on twitter like he called out Mayweather and Thurman. He calls out guys who aren't even in his division and has no intention of facing them. The usual suspects on here tried to talk up the fight as it was clear the fight had no legs, was never going to happen, and they wanted to use Lara for 'duck' threads.

Lara isn’t a middleweight, he has a zero fan base and beating him would neither be lucrative, entertaining nor would it affect in any way Golovkin’s quest to unify the division. If Lara wanted the fight really, he would have taken a middleweight fight or two with actual middleweight contenders. Lara did not want the fight.
