Hurd handled Lara his 3rd loss, but it's safe to say that the Williams loss was the biggest robbery of the decade and the CLenelo fight was a clear draw.
Hurd won clearly in my book, won at least 6 rounds + the KD.
Hurd is the first fighter to dominate Lara, a P4P experienced southpaw.
Due to his size, Hurd has a bright future and I could see him picking belts up to 160 and 168.
He just has to tighten his defense or he will end like De Gale, half shot and teethless.
Lara is not one of the best boxer's today, he's a decent sharpshooter, but otherwise has some very strong weaknesses, like never being able to actually fight. Hurd is a sitting duck there for the taking where ever you choose, I reckon snatching his body would be easy too for any class operator who actually punches.
And I never said no skills, what I meant was that the skills he has aren't world class, he's a weight bully. Slaps, arm punches, no defense. Struggling to see what real skills he has from the Lara fight, he's big and long and makes use of his that size by putting hands on you.
His offensive skills are pretty good, he set up his combos very well.
His defensive skills are terrible I agree.
So he's overall average in the skills department but he's a beast physically and mentally.
We saw him struggling skill wise vs 2 elite southpaws, let's see how he looks versus an elite orthodox fighter.

you say he dominated, but then also say he won 6 rounds...
Dude I just meant he's the first man "to beat decisively" Lara.
I wouldn't even go that far. I remember that showtime poll at the end of the broadcast had 40% for Lara. The average scorecard out of 157 entries on the Fight Score app was 114-113 for Lara. I think most people who thought Lara won don't have a problem with giving it to Hurd, but it's still anything but decisive.
That's rather foolish, he wouldn't be a world champion unifying two belts against one of the best boxers today if he had no "skills." Sure it may not be pretty, but he cuts off the ring extremely well, has an insane workrate, brings immense pressure, and has a wide variety of combination punch selection.

I was a bit tired watching the replay after watching UFC, but I thought Hurd dominated Lara too. From round 4-5 onward, I thought Hurd would win, and it was satisfying to see Lara get broken down like that.
Edit: going to rewatch the fight now
Hurd doesn't seem to posses any real skills though. Without the weight, he's gonna get hurt vs a top guy, or if it's not a puncher, it'll be a war at least.
thats what im seeing too... pressure+size+volume is what he has, and its working for him for now...i like the kid though he makes fights exciting , whoever thought lara would be in a phonebooth type slugfest lol i enjoyed that fight last night..and i can see hurd being in some damn exciting fights in the future with his style and lack of skill (still has a bit but is lacking)
I think people are glossing over that most Hurd rounds were clear cut and Lara took an absolute beating. Lara had very few clear rounds and fought Hurd's fight the whole time.
Lara got too much credit on the scorecards and in comments for hanging in there and throwing in patches. One man was commanding this fight and it was Hurd.

Dominate?
It was a pretty even fight. Which was surprising because Lara fought completely out of his zone.
This... dominate is hardly the word considering it was a 1 point fight. OP is a moron.
No blindness out there, Lara banked 6 rounds at best IMO, Hurd got 6 rounds clear cut + the KD.
Lara took a beating IMO at the end of the fight, that's why I thought it was overall a dominating performance.
Not some narrow split D like the one Canelo and Williams got.
I NEVER said it was a one sided fight.
You used the wrong word. Dominating means one sided. I'll let it go though.

Hurd didn't dominate, but he has the most clear victory over Lara.
Also did the most damage and had the most success against him. Angulo also landed some good shots on Lara, but he ended up losing.
Some could argue that Molina did a better job and but was jobbed.
Fight was super close, 6-6 plus a 12th round knockdown is not "dominating" by any means. It's winning a razor close fight by rallying and putting your opponent down to seize victory in the final moments. True, Lara did take much more punishment than we've ever seen during a bout though.
Some really blind posters here. That was a very close fight.
