And really turn GGG into a PPV star.
It's the fight we need, please, pleeaaaaaaaase.
I know that the god of boxing can be very mean so I don't expect it to happen but... PLEASE.
I agree. Out of the guys mentioned, he's the only one that brings something to the table for a May 5th fight. I don't see it happening, taking a last minute fight against a much heavier opponent, and then having to come back down in weight for Canelo or Saunders.. it just doesn't happen.
But maybe!
A bit tough for GGG as well to move up in weight and fight southpaw both at the same time in 4 week notice. If they decide to make that happen, everyone would probably be better off by just passing on May 5-th date and making it in June.
Jermell Charlo still doesn't have an opponent. Jermall Charlo could step-up I believe.. Derevyanchenko and Andrade both declared readiness...
To me those are 4 excellent fights, that I'd be excited over Canelo rematch(I saw the first fight, don't think rematch would be much different... It's not mega fight to me anymore).
One thing we should call GGG and HBO on is not fighting a 20 years old kid who made 147 last year (Munguia) or guy who didn't win a round against Saunders and Eubank Jr. when they were still prospects pretty much (Spike).
You have guys ready to step up - then make a good fight. Which one? I don't really care - just something respectable.
Golovkin is too old, doesnt have enough fans 97k, Canelo was his last chance, unless he moves up in weight and challenges Kovalev.......There are no fights for him, his biggest fight is Ward, but he doesnt want that fight.:boxing:
Ramirez has ZERO traction. He should be worrying about his own division instead of hiding and poking his head every once in a while to fight some scrub or call GGG out for a payday.
How about he fights Benavidez first? That's something I could get into.

Zurdo Ramirez vs Golovkin is the only fight that can sell well. | BoxingScene Community
