Are we watching boxing or golf?
We're fans of a sport where the primary objective is to pummel another mofos skull as hard and as often as you can.
So you're entertained when guys punch each other in the head but Wilder's comments offend you? you should be offended by the whole damn sport if thats the case. and you should be advocating a ban, not watching whatsoever.
This is a sport where fighters that are cautious and overly technical are booed out the building. A sport where referees get shredded to pieces for stopping a fight "prematurely". A sport where a fight can only get FOTY honors if it involves constant exchanges and punishment. a defensive masterpiece shutout will NEVER get FOTY recognition.
Kovalev said he was gonna end Ward's career prior to their rematch. Where was the outrage? how else do you end a career other than death or permanently disabling a mofo. and this coming from a guy already with a dead body on his resume.
Tyson said he wanted to push an opponents nose bone up his brain. That comment was used to enhance his persona not criticise it.
What about when a boxer says "I'm ready to die in the ring". Why is that always seen as macho warrior talk? that should be just as controversial as Wilder's comments. and if a guy willing to die in the ring doesn't bother you why are you upset over a guy willing to kill?
And Suleiman/WBC once again showing the world their corruption. notice the stance Suleiman took about Wilder's comments and his stance with Canelo. are Wilder's statements more offensive than a guy failing two PED tests? Explain that.
In a sport where fans cherish and celebrate wars and bloodbaths how TF is anybody offended by Wilder's statement. Miss me with the fake outrage.
Now you got AJ fangirls calling for him to be stripped. I guess they don't want Joshua to be that body. scary Fcks.

My take is he's ALMOST a bigger moronic ****wad than you, not quite though obviously, as your inane drivel is unparalleled when it comes to sheer idiocy.
This is taken out of context. People need to chill. He was clearly using hyperbole to make a point. His in the ring persona, The Bronze Bomber, wants to "catch a body." He then said, once he "turns back into" Deontay, he checks on his opponent. Chill out. He doesn't want to kill anyone. He's not a murderous sociopath. Just in the ring, it's all business.
It could mean by winning in such a one sided fashion that they can't recover mentally? I don't see how that comment is as bad as wilder actively saying he wants a dead body on his record, it wasn't even said in the heat of the moment or in anger at an opponent. And yeah i draw the line at him saying he wants to kill someone, I hold my hands up....
yeah go ahead and move the goalposts. Kovalev said he wanted to end Ward's career. you have to throw in the "recover mentally" spin to suit your agenda of fake outrage towards Wilder. did Kovalev said he meant it to end Ward mentally or did you say that? Ward understood that exactly as it was said. that Kovalev wanted to either kill him or disable him. and Ward said "I'm gonna hold him to his word." but continue being angry at Wilder. carry on..
I guess we have to wonder if he's really nuts or if he's just trying to psychologically intimidate his opponents.
If you were a contender what would your reaction be?
I think I'd have to wonder if he's really nuts and find out for myself but my forward impression would be that he's just talking ****.
If I take the first seriously, then that should just motivate me further. Kill or be killed.
I don't know about yall but when I'm competing I use the term kill.
Playing basketball "We gonna kill yall team"
Playing Dominos "Man I bout to kill all yall"
Hell when I cook "I'm bout to kill thia BBQ"
Overreaction
Are you dumb?
Saying "I wanna kill" doesn't mean **** in sports where nobody dies
people die and get crippled in boxing all the time, and Wilder is someone who has iced people leaving them with seizures before, so he could very well do it
I say WBC should give him a good fine so he stops saying dumb ****
don't strip him, that'd be too much and a ****** move
The irony in this was the New York City boxing tragedy, which meant Wilder himself in his last fight, was given a time out after having a terrible 7th round in the Ortiz fight, after questioning why he was given a time out the excuses was NYC didn’t want a “Body” on their door step. Same fans are now spin this, I guess NYC are snowflakes too..
The fact that you even think them two comments are comparable tells me something....
oh really.. well then tell me what are the ways you can end a fighters career in the ring if not by killing them or permanently disabling them? because that's how Ward took it and nobody gave a damn. spare me the phony outrage. this is a sport where we watch and cheer on two mofos bashing each other in the skull but Wilder's statement is where you draw the line? ..
do I need to start posting screenshots of all the people on NSB that said they wanted Kovalev to kill Ward in their rematch. I don't wanna embarrass nobody.
wilder was just pandering to the audience he was in front of...plain and simple
but the good news is this is making news...which is going to go some ways towards getting AJ/wilder done.....which is great news! unless of course you are from the united queendom and dont wanna see this any time soon!

I see why he's saying it. Attention. But you got to draw a line somewhere, especially given the recent tragedies in the sport. Classless statement, and I like Wilder.
Remember Brits drink tea with their pinky’s in the air and their legs crossed and they stop fights before anyone can truely get knocked out it’s a soft nation.
add to the fact that...wilder was on a "hip hop" radio station was he not? the term "catch a body" is probably referenced several times a day....or is implied through other words....he was just playing to the culture he was sitting in front of...the audience
Good post, he grew up in the Hip Hop culture.Where every aspect of the street life is glorified.Pretty much he went full WWE promo and it backfired on him.
It was a disgusting comment. **** it im gonna say it , if it was a guy of a different race saying it you lot wouldn't be defending it. Can u imagine if golovkin said it??? You'd all be slaughtering him and you damn well know it.
I didn't play the race card. but you just did.
well... show me the outrage when Kovalev said he wanted to end Ward's career? did anybody even make a fuss about that? so your racial theory goes out the window right there. did Kovalev get "slaughtered" for it? think about it.
as i mentioned...hes on a rap radio station....many of the songs on that station that are played reference killing someone whether it be literally or metaphorically.....its just part of the slang and culture......that needs to be taken into consideration
its not like wilder was on fox news or espn saying "i want to catch a body"
It’s a fuked up thing to say no matter what. You don’t kill someone and then move on with your life.
Boxing is a sport. A fatality in boxing is not acceptable.
No, it's you and others who need to grow up. People say I'm childish, yet you've got grown men on here saying it's acceptable for wilder to say he wants to kill someone in the ring and get a dead body on his record. We've had some recent tragedies in the ring too, but because it's a fighter people like they brush the comment under the carpet. I bet the families of dead fighters really appreciate the heavyweight champ of the world saying things like that.
A lot of dumb things are said by fighters and their fans defend it, happens everyday on this site. Your comment was extremely dumb though. I mean really "if a white fighter would have said it he would be catching more flack"? That just screams idiotic juvenile thinking. Again, grow up man. That goes for you and other fools on here saying the same for fighters of other races. Smh
