Horn HELL NO doesnt Grind Margarito lol you smoking crack. Errol I see getting grinded down. TC too small gets stopped by Margarito Vargas gets grinded down fast Matty gets grinded down late I have to agree. Crawford would be overwhelmed by Tony's sheer size. no homo.

Nsb wannabe experts always see past fighters as sub par to the current. For ****s sake margo eats punches for breakfast and dinner. None of the current fighters has ring generalship for 12 rounds. Eventually those fighters mentioned will be caught. Margo destroyed and took away pacs prime, among all pacs opponent he took the most damage from margo. So ****ers just stfu and give the man some credit. He has an adamantium chin. He was off the loop on the mosley fight due to the brick controversy.

I don't think he ever used plaster and there is zero proof that he ever did. Only assumptions. I think he would beat everyone on that list except Spence , Crawford and possibly Thurman. He was easy to hit but he had a great chin and was tireless. He was a decent puncher and applied tremendous pressure by throwing over 100 punches a round all fight. He wore guys down and hurt them in the late rounds. In the 1st Cotto fight Cotto won most of the early rounds. If he was using bricks he should have knocked Cotto out early as often as he hit him but he didn't.

If he wasn't caught cheating I would say he would had been able to beat most of them. With that said after he was caught cheating he was reduced to nothing. In a fair fight he losses to any top fighter but Berto and Ortiz.

"prime" Margarito means plaster gloves. after they took his plaster he was trash. everybody on that list beats him.

Watching the Cotto fight, and then Marg's handwraps being pink, like the plaster ones against Mosley instead of the normal white, is pretty damning. Take away Cotto and what do you have? A close loss to Paul Williams? Wins over Clottey and Cintron? Good, okay, but a loss in 04 to Dos Santos, a loss in 07 to Paul Williams, and his 09 spanking by Mosley. Without Cotto, Marg is nothing more than a gatekeeper, similar to Vargas today. while i suspect margarito of cheating previously and doubt very much that he'd cheat for the first time against a guy who lost to an opponent he destroyed, the pink coloring happens all the time when fighters wear red gloves. sweat mixes with the dye used in the glove, which runs, gets soaked into the wraps, and turns them pink.

Your punches get weaker and weaker. I don’t credit Margarito for that win. He used plaster for Christ’s sake!

A prime Margarito would definitely be a pain at 147 now, he would have a good size advantage and I think he might out hustle all the top contenders now. But I could see Spence holding his own and I can see Thurman dancing around him. I agree although I think he gets to Thurman late. Spence would edge him out in a war in my opinion.

Go look at the Sugar Shane fight, he got wiped out, he probably didnt win 1 ROUND the entire fight. These boxers have learned from the last generation of boxers and improved. An Errol or Thurman, would have him out of there even sooner, Porter would fight his fight, but without the extra padding, would he have been able to keep porter or swift off of his @ss. :beerchug:

Plasterito is a terrible boxer. True but is sheer size advantage over the Porter, Garcias etc would be apparent, and i doubt they would be able to keep up with him or off them due to that. They would have to use a lot of ring generalship to beat him, which i honestly cannot see them doing.

Margarito is so overrated around here. He loses to all of them.
