It was close but I thought Estrada won with his ring Generalship. He took Rungv out of his element. I will give Rungv credit thoe he started adjust to a moving target fighting off the back foot but a rematch def needs to happen.
9-3 Rungvisai. I'd have to watch it again to tell you which rounds, but I think I gave Estrada the 11th, 12th, and 2nd.
The fight was competitive but Rungvisai landed that one-two and controlled the fight, controlled the distance all night long. The crowd went wild every times Estrada landed a grazing shot, was dead silent while Estrada had been eating punches the two minutes prior.
I'm all for a rematch, result will be the same.
You can't give this fight to Estrada. The most is a draw. It wasn't a difficult fight to score with a lot of close rounds, just one maybe, and even then, it wasn't that difficult to score.
I had it 7-5 the other way. I thought it was a close fight that coulda went either way doe so fair play on your card.
When there is so lil between two guys + 3-4 close rounds you could argue went either way I don't think there is such a thing as a bad decision.
I hope they fight again this year.
This would make sense if the other rounds were shared equally between them. But they weren't
Rungvisai had 6 fairly clear rounds. 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10
Estrada had 2 clear rounds, 1 and 12. Just to make it fair, give him 3 - 1, 11 and 12.
That means there are only 3 either way rounds. Giving Estrada them all highlights a sort of bias imo, but even so, it doesn't give him enough rounds to win.

Ditto.
No robbery to see here, just a good close fight.
All good for a rematch.
For those scoring it 7-5 Estrada, please post your scorecards. I'm at a loss as to how you can get that score
You can realistically score 1, 2, 7, 8, 11 and 12 for him. But that's conceding everything over to Estrada, which isn't objective scoring. To give him an extra round on top of that is insane. Rungvisai had a good argument in winning 7 and 8. There was next to nothing in rounds 1 and 2. Those rounds have shaky foundations already for Estrada, especially considering he was the challenger.
For the reverse, I also can't see how anyone can score it past 116-112 for Rungvisai. Giving him rounds 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. If you also give him rounds 1 or 2, I think you are being far too subjective in his favour.
I can see a draw, but that's literally the worst case scenario for Rungvisai. He had a much bigger argument for winning...
I scored for Estrada, but it could go either way, Estrada boxed better landed the cleaner shots, Rung can just eat the punches cause hes bigger, Estrada was blocking parrying a lot of punches
Either way it was a great fight, big fan of both hope we see the rematch soon, they should throw it in the Nelo vs GGG undercard
I watched 3 rounds of the fight and went to bed early.
I knew it's going to be that way for the rest of the fight.
It's a typical fight where one fighter is willing to trade,
while the other is disengaging, applying hit and run doe.
I expected Estrada to cry, "I got robbed! I'm am the sweet science fighter!" doe.
Kills me with these clowns.
If you're not willing to trade, then you deserve to lose in the scorecards.
Maybe you should watch the full fight, bro.
It was a great, action packed fight. I could see a draw or a close decision in favor of Estrada.

You're a moron.

He will have to start earlier next time. Estrada seemed to have his most success when he turned it up in the championship rounds and Sor Rungvisai started to tire. Either way, Sor Rungvisai showed that he legitimately belongs with the best of the division. Also, Ward didn't appear to be biased. He seemed to be favoring Estrada, whereas Lampley and Kellerman seemed to be focused more of Sor Rungvisai. Rematch will be awesome though! Peace.
Agree, Estrada is usually a late starter. And Ward also noted a key element, that Estrada needed to get closer, and when he did he started having much more success. SRR cannot match Estrada's speed or skills so I'd like to see Estrada throw his quick combos and zip out in the rematch. Not stand at SRR's range.
The HBO commentary was biased as usual and I think swayed people in the close rounds. Estrada was definitely the better boxer, landed the better shots, and marked up his opponent far more but a lot of this was ignored. All this on the notably bigger opponent. On the other hand, Sor Rung was the aggressor and was deemed the heavy"puncher" for any shot he'd throw, which by the way, a lot of those body shots were partially blocked. With that said, it was a close fight and a 7-5 win either way or draw is acceptable. I think Estrada makes the proper adjustments and beats him in a rematch.
