In terms of overall speed of movement such as hand, feet and upper body movement speed?
Canelo Alvarez looked so fast against Gennady Golovkin that he made Vasyl Lomachenko look slow, flat footed and uncoordinated. To the point where Lomachenko looked like he was moving in slow motion in his last 3 bouts compared to the high speed Canelo Alvarez displayed against Gennady Golovkin.
Or was it because of how bad, slow and uncoordinated Gennady Golovkin is that made Canelo Alvarez appear that fast?
Canelo Alvarez's speed against Gennady Golovkin looked like he was moving in a video at fast forward. He made every past oppoennt of Gennady Golovkin look like they moved in slow motion compared to him. Canelo also looked faster at middleweight than at 154 pounds.
How do you rate Canelo's speed?
No Lomachenko is the fastest p4p his foot speed puts him a notch above others
Lomachenko looked slow against Rigondeaux. Canelo looked like lighting against Golovkin.
Nope, sorry! Not only is Canelo Alvarez faster than Lomachenko in terms of hand speed pound for pound. But he is also faster in an absolute sense too, despite being much heavier.
Canelo Alvarez looked much faster against Golovkin than Lomachenko did against Rigondeaux.
The kid is like a ginger lightening bolt!!! I have heard it said that there are reputable authorities who claim that in the ring Canelo actually deliberately throws some of his punches at one twentieth speed just so the cameras can actually capture his best moments for the inter-round highlight clips. In reality Canelo punches so fast that the human eye is incapable of following his mercurial fists. This is why I always say that compubox simply can't be trusted when it comes to Saul Alvarez - in actual fact he both threw and landed over 800 more punches than Golovkin in their fight but they were just too fast for the cameras to catch them!
Canelo has very fast accurate combinations and perhaps the fastest hands in the middleweight division. His speed of foot is not equal to his hand speed so he is not the fastest boxer overall pfp. Loma is faster as is Rusell and a few other boxers but Canelo's blazing fast accurate hands are very impressive. I don't think the thread starter gives a damn about Canelo's speed and is just using that as a starting point to attack GGG's fighting ability.

Braver? How's that? Hasn't shown interest in Mikey at 135 and is balking at faded/old Pacquiao??
Definitely faster though

Canelo Alvarez looked much faster against Golovkin than Lomachenko did against Rigondeaux.
And yet he struggled to the point of losing; according to the vast majority, or a draw according to the judges.
That slow and plodding Golovkin must have done something right!
Looked like garbage and missed nearly 30% of power shots.
Canelo lost the fight by not fighting, nothing to do with Golovkin's skills.
Both Jacobs and Andrade have faster hand speed.
Andrade has the best combination speed in the division.
Charlo has the best one punch speed but his combination speed sucks.
Canelo has a quick mind and good upperbody movement and that's it.
No they don't! lol
Jacobs is bigger and stronger then Canelo but handspeed and accuracy is no comparison. Jacobs literally winds up and swings for the fences and misses a lot. Andrade shouldn't even be in the discussion for many reasons. And Charlo doesn't even have faster hands then his brother let alone Canelo. GGG had problems with Jacobs foot movement not really his hand speed. GGG had problems with Canelo's handspeed all night. When they both exchanged Canelo's punches got their first and more cleanly that's why he looked so damn slow. When Canelo showboated or took breaks on the ropes GGG couldn't hit him but more importanly was afraid to throw any body shots because he was worried about Canelo's hands. He never had to worry about that when Jacobs was on the ropes despite Jacobs being the bigger and stronger. Jacobs being on the ropes is one of the reasons he got dropped.

Canelo doesn't even have the fastest hand speed at middleweight. Andrade is way faster, and Jacobs is faster too.
Canelo has the fastest hands at middleweight. Without a doubt nobody in his weight class can enter a ring with an advantage over him in hand speed. Beyond that it's almost impossible to compare or judge hand speed for middleweight to say a featherweight or flyweight. The size difference is just so massive to judge guys who are so tiny or so much bigger.

Andrade has the best combination speed in the division.
Charlo has the best one punch speed but his combination speed sucks.

Well Canelo threw 200 less punches and yet still landed more power punches.
How does that happen????Canelo throws faster more accurate punches than GGG. That's not the fucing point I am making and you must know that. The thread starter stated that GGG is very slow and clumsy and that is an idiotic lie. GGG and Canelo are BOTH highly skilled outstanding fighters and GGG didn't accomplish what he has done in the ring by being slow and clumsy. If Canelo was so superior to GGG he would not have had to settle for a draw in a city that is known to be very generous to Canelo on the scorecards.
I don't even think he's that fast so I certainly don't think he's the fastest. He has quick counters but that's more timing than anything. Unless a whole lot of much faster boxers suddenly retired, the answer is no.

How can you compare a middleweight to a welterweight, its like saying Joshua would beat Andre Ward, obviously but it doesn't take away the fact that Ward is a better fighter. Canelo was badly outclassed by Mayweather, could have lost against the Cuban, and should have lost against GGG.
