Spence didn't look bothered by anything Peterson landed. Think we may have watched a different fight.

His chin looks OK to me. It may not be like Haglers chin but it's definately not glass. He took some hard punches from Brook and didn't go down or get hurt.

I watched Spence walk through Kell Brook and Peterson shots like nothing. By walk through I mean literally I witnessed him EAT a hard power shot, walk through it and come back with his own power shots with even more power on them. I can understand people making the arguement "Well Peterson doesn't really punch too hard" but if you watch the punches themselves you can tell they have some mustard on them. But even then, how about Kell Brook's punches? Now I doubt anyone is naive enough to tell me Brook isn't a puncher.

If he had a glass chin, he just wouldn't be here. His defense is not all that and Peterson and Brook have respectable punches and landed enough to check and see what's there. we'll have to wait and see how he reacts to a real power puncher like thurman and to lesser extent porter. I think a bigger issue is that he gets hit with punches he doesn't see, that is what I have noticed about him. This is a trait which is common in attack minded seek and destroy types, but if he doesn't have the most solid chin he will need to slightly alter his approach and become a little more responsible in his attack. This may take away from his offensive, but it is all about finding the right balance to be successful at the highest level. Thurman could definitely trouble him for sure. People are already talking like that fight is a forgone conclusion, but to me he is a clear level up from Peterson, and better than Brook as well. I make Spence a small favourite in that fight.

Seems like he just waits a second to keep walking forward or re-setting after taking a punch.

He ate some bomb shots by Kell Brook and kept his hands up to recover. At least his recovery time is under 5 seconds... We haven't seen him "rocked" officially yet. Remains to be seen.

He really doesn't react well to getting hit but I don't think it's because he has a glass jaw. It's a flaw in his game that he'll have to fix but so far no one has taken advantage of it. Brook didn't do it so I don't see anyone else at WW exploiting it unless Crawford can carry his power up to the division. I think he'll be able to handle Thurman's power.

So far he’s proven he can take a punch. I can’t see any WW taking him out with one punch. He’s going to have to be hit with a significant combination to slow him down IMO.
