People love to romanticize the past. I've got news for you though, fighters from the 70s and 80s would fare about as well vs today's fighters as NBA players from the 70s and 80s would fare in today's NBA, or NFL players from back then in today's Uber athletic NFL.
Boxing evolves just like any other sport. Today's fighters have a ton of advantages of yesterday's. Not sure why fans think that boxing is the one sport where the athletes don't get better and better over time.
Because he never had a single professional boxing bout outside of USA and that therefore, he is untested in a foreign territory. As in, how do we know if he would've remained undefeated had he boxed against elite opponents in different countries outside of USA? We don't. Ergo, that is a question marks in his career which one could use to point out that had he boxed more frequently in foreign territories, he would've lost some of his bouts that he won. Let's not pretend that boxing in Vegas doesn't put Floyd Mayweather Jr in a huge advantageous position over most of his opponents. Especially his foreign opposition. Those advantages would be lost had he competed more frequently in foreign territories himself as many of his opponents did.
I don't think any welterweight fighting now could beat the prime Mayweather. I do think Thurman, Spence and Crawford beat today's Mayweather. He is 41 years old. Did you think he would remain the best forever?
floyd was the best at what he did, WWE presentation...Boxing is a whole different story. Good fighter but only fought fighters he had a definite advantage over...Legacy was never part of the plan it was always about the road of least resistance.
Still would’ve beaten him, as long as they both make 147, there’s no excuses.
I’ll admit Floyd was a better fighter than Hearns P4P but styles make fights.
I agree 100%
That would be only because of size and physical strength....

Beat me to it😂😂😂
Tommy Hearns would’ve beat Floyd, if he’d have boxed in the same manor he did against SRL in 81, he’d be an absolute nightmare for Floyd.
TBE doe😂
Undefeated doe.😭

Any boxer can be beaten. Just because your mind is too small to conceive it, doesn't mean it couldn't happen.
Anyway, you're just trolling for responses and then will cry about "p@ctards" or something stupid so I'll just let you be.
They will eventually he’s not god
He’s nearly lost 3 times
He’s the best I’ve seen but he’s also 40 if he kept fighting elite opposistion he’d lose sooner or later
