So why is it okay for GGG to call out or Fight Smaller Weight class guys?
He called out Mayweather who is a small Welterweight, fought Brook who was also a Welterweight.
Why were GGG fans calling Canelo a coward when it's Canelo who started his career at 135lbs and has moved up 25lbs in his career to fight GGG.
GGG is nearly 36 years old but never calls out bigger guys then him to challenge himself.
Ward wanted to fight him at 168lbs, GGG and his team made excuses!
Why doesn't GGG move up to 175lbs and fight Kovalev?
We all know why! As soon as he's faced good competition like Jacobs and Canelo, he's not looked so Invincible!
COME ON GGG, Challenge Yourself!
Ya 168 was dying as MarGGGarito was coming up. It's definitely dead weight right now, but MarGGGarito beat Proksa, Macklin, Stevens, Rubio, Geale, and Rosado (all decent fringe contenders) between 2012-2014.
Okay, but where were Cotto, Martinez, Chavez Jr, Quillin and Lee when that "154-168" meme started? I also remember Saunders saying that GGG would knock him and Eubank Jr out, on the same night. Speaking of Eubank Jr, where did he leave his pen?
Again I like MarGGGarito and all, but I can't tolerate his fanbase. MarGGGarito did not have a "spectacular" run in his MW claim. He beat a long list of rank 6-15 contenders who have gone on to do...nothing.
I've been seeing more haters and fanboys in this forum, as of late. I think Canelo could beat GGG in a rematch, if he does something about his conditioning. GGG beat whoever was willing to fight him, at 160.
There's a reason for that. So let's not be revisionary and turn MarGGGarito into some saint who fought every demon he faced and compromised with catchweights for both smaller (Kell Brook, Canelo, Stevens, etc.) and bigger (Andre Ward) fighters.
Abel Sanchez really threw GGG under the bus with "154-168 ez fomi." I do think the 164lb catchweight was sus, but GGG said he'd only fight at 154 or 168 for big money.
And? How does that change a single thing we wrote?
Are you able to have an intelligent adult conversation or are you only interested in name calling?
GGG has been consistent. Middleweight world championship fights should be contracted at the middleweight limit. Every world championship fight should be contracted at the weight limit of the world championship. Catchweights should not be used for world championship fights.
Is that how you talk to strangers in real life? You call them a twat for disagreeing with you?
We are not fans of GGG. We openly rooted for Jacobs to defeat him.
I agree with you 100%. Catchweights should not be allowed for championship fights. If two guys want a catchweight fight to make money fine but a title should not be on the line.
There are 4+ champions per weight class today...so him being involved in "championship" fights is a wash.
He also benefited from fighting the least competitive division in the sport during his short prime. Kell Brook buckled him - moving up 2 weight classes - and he is considered Top 5 win in Gennady's "illustrious" title defense run.
That's pathetic. A 147 fighter being a Top 5 (and likely Top 3) win in this "historical" "title-defense" run. LMFAO.
Couple that with the fact he squeaked by Danny Jacobs who is proven China-chin and looked nothing more than ordinary against Luis Arias.
Oh and he lost to Canelo. A JMW.
Nothing wrong with MarGGGarito the fighter, but his rabid fan base (like you) annoy the fuck out of me.
On a side note, I did like both Floyd and Andre. I also very much like Loma and TC. I like boxers and boxer punchers, regardless of nationality. I did like Rigo, but I always felt he was 1-dimensional and talked wayyyyy too much. Was happy to see Loma make him quit and although Rigo was older and smaller it was a phenomenal win and performance for NoMasChenko
hmmm you really think that? 168 has been awful forever. soon 2 former 160 pounders will be at the top of it so how can 160 be the weakest if second rate guys can make it to the top of 168? plot hole!
remember before the super six it was considered a dead division and pure crap. slow face first fighters and crappy boxers like dirrell who couldnt even beat degale lmao. sh-it divisio that got overrated cause ward won the tournament.
ward tried to move up to 175 and got handled by kovalev before cheating in the rematch. if you look at wards resume its shockingly bad. slow stiff guys that floyd fans always hate on like froch, kessler, and abraham is all he has. ggg has slick guys that floyd fans love like canelo and jacobs on it. hypocrisy just doesnt matter to some people. beat the slow bums and hes the best boxer in the sport lmao. beat the slick guys and hes overrated. oh my caught in your own hypocrisy. whats new with you?
who would he move up for? degale? truax? just to collect a belt from a bum? are you really impressed by that crap? broner did it 4 times but you still didnt learn anything. he tried to fight ward and froch and they didnt want to fight him so he dominated the division. something floyd never ever did. is that why you are mad? insecurity?
There's nothing prestigious about beating Gabe Rosado or Curtis Stevens or Daniel Geale.
And? How does that change a single thing we wrote?
People criticize MarGGGarito for calling out smaller fighters and refusing any compromose.
Are you able to have an intelligent adult conversation or are you only interested in name calling?
Ca$hnelo wanted catchweight - MarGGGarito said no
Brook wanted catchweight - MarGGGarito said no..you move up 13 pounds/1 stone

Be consistent you twat. Your fandom is hypocritical and you are the reason people dislike your hero

So why is it okay for GGG to call out or Fight Smaller Weight class guys?
GGG is the unified WBC/WBA/IBF middleweight world champion. He makes weight easily. Why should he move up unless moving up pays way more than not moving up?
Kell Brook couldn't get a big fight at his weight, so he moved up. If GGG can't get a big fight at his weight, maybe he'll move up. But right now he has Canelo, Jacobs and Saunders as options, all of which would be more lucrative than moving up.
We should not be criticizing a guy for fighting at his weight, winning all of the most prestigious championships, and insisting on facing all of the big names and champions in his division.
GGG is old and small what is he going to do weigh in with dumb bells to make the next weight class or should he use steroids like Floyd and Manny to move up
This board is littered with MarGGGarito ball juGGGlers.
Even if what you say makes complete sense they will still tell you MarGGGarito KO'd Canelo and Danny Jacobs.
Honestly, his fan base have CTE from getting hit in the head too much. It's sad, reallyI am guessing you are a giant fan of Mayweather and Ward so of course you are always fair minded and polite and always make perfect sense. You would never by unfairly critical of any Ukrainian or Russian boxers or anyone who has the audacity to be a fan of GGG. I mean why would anyone be a fan of GGG. He is only an exciting KO artist with the most successful title defenses of any boxer in the sport and averages 4 title defenses a year rather than the 1 or 2 yearly defenses most champs make. That is no excuse to be a fan of his.

Yes, yes. Grand job. Bout time someone exposed this fraud... oh, wait...
Hardly anyone even hypes GGG anymore, Lomachenko's the new love/hate polariser on NSB, man. You need to get with the times.

COME ON GGG, Challenge Yourself! So many false statements in one post. He challenged Mayweather to defend his two 154 pound titles against him at 154. Mayweather never defended the 154 pound titles he won from Cotto and Canelo at the catchweight of 152. All GGG did was asked a reigning 154 pound champion to defend his title at that weight. Mayweather isn't a small welterweight. GGG never asked a welterweight to fight him at 160. He asked a 2 belt 154 pound champion to fight him at 154. If Mayweather was never intending to defend his WBA and WBC 154 world titles he should have given those titles up. He never called out Brook. Brook called him out. Brook was a last minute replacement for good full sized middleweights Saunders and Eubank who were offered good money to fight GGG but refused to fight. You know this but leave these important facts out because it doesn't fit in with your agenda of hating on and trashing GGG. Ward made no real serious offer to fight GGG. He called him out in the media at a time when GGG was already legally bound to fight Lemieux. Ward's next fight was a 172 and he was completely done with 168 and had no intention of fighting GGG at 168. A serious offer to fight is in writing with a weight limit, a location and the amount of money the challenged fighter will receive. No such offer was ever made to team GGG by team Ward, just meaningless media talk. Canelo started at 135 at age 15 FFS. He grew into a full sized middleweight before he fought GGG so please stop trying to make it sound like Canelo bravely leaped up from 135 to 160 to dare to be great and fight GGG. GGG didn't look invincible against Jacobs and Canelo. Nobody ever claimed he was invincible. He is just a damn good middleweight fighting the 2nd and 3rd best middleweights in the world next to himself. Now you want him to fight Kovalev at 175 FFS. Why aren't you asking Andrade, Jacobs, Canelo and Jermall to fight Kovalev? You are a phony double standard hypocrite hater of all Russian and Ukrainian boxers. GGG is a natural middleweight who makes 160 with ease. If you don't think being the best middleweight in the world and defending you title against all the best challengers is a challenge then you are a boxing moron. You only want GGG to move up because you are praying a good heavier boxer can beat him because so far no middleweight has been able to beat him. That is what will make you happy isn't it.A GGG loss.
Golovkin and Canelo were both at 140 when they started boxing competitively. Aged 18 Canelo was at 147, Golovkin won Junior World Championship at light-welter.
Both have grown into middleweights, aint no calling out the smaller fighter with Canelo
You are very stupid. He never called out smaller guys. Only Mayweather and he said he would fight at 154 for him. A Weight Mayweather was a champion at.
Never called out Brook. And Canelo was Mw champion already heavier than him on fight night.
Go back to the circus clown.
