Really goes to show how style comes into so much I mean mosly beat mayorga.
dude mayorga must of been on sum good coke lol, that foo had NO respect for forrests power. and forrest is the only guy who had put an iron chinned shane mosley on queeeer street.
and mayorgas been ko'd so many times lol.
he got away with one (i mean two) against forrest lol
oh, vernon forrest is another guy who had a difficult style. i cant believe mayorga walked thru him.
yeah your exactly right tho, the young bucks out to prove something, while the vets just doing work

Yea I think Mayorga had his # like he had mosleys.
Yea I heard something about that. But when a young stud spars with a legend(who was prob slighty less then best)He tends to go a little harder then the vet who is not trying to impress anyone.I remember a interviev with Holy and he said the person HE SEEN that ever even gave Pete good work was Vernon Forrest. And he was also young at time. But he had style(poor man Hit man)that gives boxers he ll.Not sure who would win Floyd and Pea really think they would need 3

right. you seen zab judah (slick fast southpaw) gave floyd his most fits, as far as chess boxing goes, for the first 5-6 rds of their fight.
thing with whitaker is, he's not gonna break after 6 rds, so i think he woulda gave floyd a hell of a chance to lose.
but the story is, floyd sparred with pernell wen he was about 18-19 and gave em good work

I know a lot of posters would prob disagree but Floyd vs Sweet Pea would be one of the most interesting fights I can think of.I think they would need three to fig it out.

yeah , and for Floyd, he can adapt to any style. thats y he never fought every fight the same way.

Yup and that's why I rate Floyd and Sweet Pea better.Plus they also showed they could win more ways.

i agree with this 100%
roy and clay (ali) both were so quick and athletic they didnt need the fundamentals.
but as roy got older and more deteriorated, he needed the fundamentals, as we see. he's gotten ko'd too many times, bcuz he doesnt know how to block or parry properly. guys are splitting his guard and killing him

He was a beast at 130, I remember when he beat up Genaro Hernandez who was the #1 guy at 130 at the time, I wasn't really sold on Floyd until that win. I remember Arum after the fight telling the media "this is the next superstar like SRR, SRL etc. After that performance I realised Floyd was special.
Arum saying floyds a superstar, my how things changed wen floyd went to golden boy lmao
oh my god, his campaign at 140 was great. 3 tko's in 2005. one of those might of been at 47. but yeah, hes always had hand problems. ppl dont realize how good of a puncher he was at 30-35, he beat his hands up really good bcuz he hit hard and landed ALOT

ugh what a trashy human being ... pro boxer getting tough with some old foreign uber driver ,probably the only fight he'd actually be able to win clearly these days
"huh"....."huh" ....."huh"
AB looking like the foreigner here lol
Broner is still a draw. Just gotta stand a little more close together with his legs.
AB's problem is that he doesnt punch wen his defense is failing. he is so gun shy its cringy
It's a shame his hands betrayed him a bit by the time he reached 147. I even remember him at 140 absolutely lighting Gatti up.
