These guys are basically a mirror image of one another. Both are good at fighting at a distance, cutting off the ring, one-punch knockout power, and text book footwork. If Kt was a natural Middleweight would he be able to beat GGG?

It would be a very close fight. The type of fights which generate a series like Tszyu vs Golovkin 2, Tszyu vs Golovkin 3. :)
floyd has good timing too.
like i said, never caught up to judah early. old kostya did.
Kostya also got beat like a man beats a boy for 1st round.Got hurt at least once in 1st.Tszyu landed a big right on chest and after that Judah was already having probs before last shot.Kinda reminded me of Terry Norris fightin Jackson.Except Terry kept beatin him until caught with that last combo(he was out after 1st).And for the just for record think Floyd outboxes Tszyu all day.Floyd very underated chin and desire.

I think Tszyu was more square. But they are close.Won a nice chunk on Plillups fight.Knew his VERY GOOD st8 right and good chin would be worse style for him.Reason why I thought Jacobs would give GGG hell. You could see that in brook fight.Jacobs did not have mentality to go for it but just the thought of it kept GGG from being too aggressive.Even Jacobs trainer said it in the corner"he is already scarred of right and you aint even hit him yet"Still thought GGG just shaded fight.

well tszyu applied a lot more pressure than Floyd did. zab was reckless moving his head like that against a guy with a long right hand who was applying pressure...it was a matter of time before he got caught. Imo it was more down to tszyu's great timing and forward pressure than any spectacular handspeed. not saying he's slow or anything tho
he timed Judah's head movement. Judah was making big defensive head movements and pulling back across the center line, which led to the KO. trying to slip outside both 1-2 shots is a recipe for disaster.

GGG is more well rounded. he's got a stronger left hand. better defense and better chin. more power too.
Tszyu is faster though. even in his old age he caught up to Judah early. that's a feat. nobody caught up to Judah early, not even Floyd.

Tough one. It's not like GGG fights the way Hatton did when Tszyu was at the end of his days. Tszyu, I think was the more polished fighter and really was excellent at a distance and had the better timing of the two men. I feel overall GGG is perhaps the better overall fighter, but not sure the style match favors him here. It's really a tossup.
I dont get why people think Tszyu and GG have similiar styles.
Tszyu is more of a boxer with dynamites for fists. He is a cerebral fighter.
They are nothing alike.
They were very similar stylistically prior to Sanchez training him.
Vince Phillips was a good fighter more than a journeyman. I don't know if you're boxrec'ing to form your opinion.
He wasn't the old "name" younger guys beat up on back then.
Ran over by Hatton? That fight was a top 3 in the hugging department. It was an awful ugly fight.
Lol he is obviously a noob..
cant believe somebody would mention Hatton and label philips as a journeyman.

GGG proved in the Jacobs fight that he is the same

Styles make fights. I would favor Lara to beat GGg but not a Middleweight version of Tszyu. I would favor Porter to beat Tszyu but a Middleweight version of Porter loses to GGG
lara wouldn't beat ggg.
he'd lose a wide decision if not get stopped. the judges don't like his style either. he offers nothing to trouble ggg. who can pump a jab and out land him every round.
kostya was a 1-2 guy. power in right hand. he had a body attack but not as pronounced as GGG in his prime.
GGG is the age Kostya retired. Remember that. it truly is unfortunate how he got the big fights when he's at the end of his career.
so GGG's last performance is still better than Kostya's last performance against Hatton. Canelo > Hatton.

Looking at both I think the opposite. I agree with defense though. I think Tszyu was a hell of a lot more accurate and he was better at imposing his will on his opponents. If a middleweight version KT was in there with Canelo, I think he would've stopped Canelo.
